@nbkcq28 La ví hace unos 2 años y hasta la fecha es la que más recuerdo por la forma tan " limpia" de tratar la homosexualidad y el primer amor, también esta buena la de TRICK¡, espero las disfrutes ;D
The end it's so perfectly well-made !! ... The music fits perfect with the moment, like trying to deter the awkward moment held by the dance, and the judging stares by the people surrounding.... and they just don't care about anything, just enjoying the moment. PERFECT !
I agree one of the best gay movies ever made! I had the movie when I was very young but lost it, just recently got it again. Love it! Makes me smile and very happy!
@chino33391 it is imho, THE BEST GAY MOVIE EVER, BAR NONE, scuse the capitals again, but this movie must have helped tens of thousands of confused scared angry regretful young homos ( i am gay, so i am not a hater) to realise that not all of the world is against them. i watch it about 4 times a year, and have done since it came out - pure cinematic genius
this movie makes me wanna cry :( these two guys are the kind of guys i like and i cant find guys like them anywhere! the men i met all just want sex sex sex!!!!! for fuck sake..... i love romantic things....

From another Beautiful Thing blog it was mentioned that the flats at Tavey Bridge in Thamesmeade, where this scene and the film were filmed, are to be demolished in June of 2011. In film commentary it was mentioned that this was the last scene filmed, with much of the crowd Thamesmeade residents, who didn't know it was a gay themed film until this scene so crowd reactions, aside from the actors, are real.
From another Beautiful Thing blog it was mentioned that the flats at Tavey Bridge in Thamesmeade, where this scene and the film were filmed, are to be demolished in June of 2011.
The first time I saw this film I couldnt help crying as it was such a tender movie...all of us who are gay saw each other in that movie,I was a teenager then and trust me...it helped me feel I was "normal" and wasnt doing anything wrong.
@lolatyoulol: No, please, don't feel that way! You are only 17, go and LOVE! I am 70, my life is nearly over, and I don't despair of finding love,,, even if it is serial love .
I've watched this on loop for god knows how long. I'm only 17, but I feel like this time of innocence has passed me by. I can't help to wonder if love so pure and warming will ever penetrate the thick wall I put between myself and others.
Scott Neal (Ste), Linda Henry (Sandra), Tameka Empson (Leah) have all been in EastEnders, Linda and Tameka are now full time cast members. Tameka was also cast in 3 Non-Blondes, and StreetDance the movie. Glen Bery (Jamie), Scott Neal have both starred in The Bill together, Glen was also cast inan episode of Midsomers Murders and they both went to Anna Scher Theatre School.
Every time I see this movie, especially this scene, I cry. I'm crying now. I cry for my wasted youth, trying to be straight. I never knew this kind of love.
@gattamelata1940 i'm sorry.. i know some of what u feel.. i wish i was 20 now..the boys have it so much better...times have changes so much in 20+ yrs. and i had it better than those before me.
i saw this movie when i was just a 16. I was so in love with this movie, It really spoke to me and showed me that love, happiness, and acceptance really can come true. and this song is soo beautiful, i wanna go back in time but without that gay hate and just live gay and happily.
Best video and audio quality of this clip I've found so far. And, of course, this and "Get Real" are the best of the recent Brit coming-of-age gay tales.
Sorry. Which are the four EastEnders actors you see? I see Linda Henry who plays Shirley in EE, Tameka Empson who played Kim (Denise's sister), Anna Karen who played Aunt Sal (Peggy's sister), but who's the fourth?
Such a great British film. Thanks for uploading this. I hope Tameka Empson comes back to EastEnders. I loved it at Denise's hen night when the writers made a nod to this movie with two of the actresses from this crossing paths.
This Film was so Perfect and simple! Heard they want to make in USA can you imagine they will get some 40 year olds to play the teens, with Jane Fonda as the mother - ha ha
@titusmountjoy, Is England really any more tolerant than the US? I had the impression that Australia and the majority of the US and UK were all fairly INtolerant. Maybe I'm mistaken?? I'm gay, and live in Oklahoma, which is hell if you're gay, by the way.
@stillwaterguy04 The UK is more forward thinking as far as legal things go (we have Civil Partnership etc). Also, England is not dominated by evangelical fundamentalist Christianity as parts of the USA are. BTW I'm from NC, though I've been here 12 years. The English tend to be more tolerant, though yobs still cause problems for gay men and women.
@stillwaterguy04:Move to the real Europe, where you can fight hideous bigots by court as i experienced.Where do you find a country like Germany where now the Social Democrats,Greens&Left Party amount 58% in opinion polls due to an intolerant gay"liberal"secretary of state who did so much to denounce welfare receivers that his party dropped from16to5-4%.With a tolerant governing SPD-gay mayor in Berlin for 8years+an
(o.k.)CDU-gay mayor in Hamburg for8years who just resigned+said:I´ve had enough!
