He might have OTC deficiency, a rare genetic disorder. It causes Dizziness, Vomiting, Difficulty moving during an episode. Please ask your doctor to look into this,
and it is rather odd but i am 25 and actually have some of the same symptoms...... i have had everything checked.... but with certian foods i eat distends my stomach and just makes life miserable and also it is unpredictible i really do hope every thing works out
you are an idiot. does it say anywhere in there that he was just sewed up? NO IT DOES NOT. because he was sewed up 2 years before that video. why dont you think before you type.

he's a very cute child:) i hope he gets better i nvr had that kind of problem as a child and im thankfull for it... i hope alexander is doing fine:D and i hope all is well! your a brave little boy alexander:)
please tell me how your son is doing. My cousin has a son with a mitochondrial disorder and my daughter is severely gluten/rice intolerant, has learning disabilities, etc.
The show that DialovesBono was talking about was a young boy that had a stomach that had passed through a small tear in his diaphragm and was completely in the lung cavity, flipped upside down. He always threw up after eating and they originally though he had GERD. They did an X-Ray finally when he was a few years old and found this out. If you think that may be it all it would take is an X-Ray to diagnose and a surgery to fix. Not sure that the symptoms really line up though...
God bless you and Alexander. My daughter is two and half..had GERD..was de-trached in October of last year..still eats through her G-Tube..had her espohagus reconstructed and is now swallowing..she had a FUNDO...did/does Alexander have one? I ask because I have been told that as they 'unwind"..it causes pain sometimes..I hope all will be well, and that you and yours be blessed.
google "ask a doctor free advice" there are some very reputable sites. the fact that his problems start after he eats makes me think he may have something metablolic, or a SEVERE food allerGy like others have said.
gee, dialovesbono was a big help.... I think you son may have a metabolic disorder of some kind. there are 3 kinds, Amino acid disorders, organic acid disorders, and fatty acid disorders. google ALD, its a disorder that sounds like your son's. also, you MUST watch the movie "lorenzo's oil". that boy had ald and his parents discovered a certain olive oil (oleic and ueric acids)reversed most of his symptoms. you can find it online. its a true story.
There is a show I have seen on Discovery Health called mystery diagnosis. They had a similar story to this. I cannot remember when it aired or even the direct circumstances of the show, I 'm so sorry- I wasn't really paying attention- try watching them one by one. I remember it was a child. And it was some incredible strange illness, but they were also able to help. I hope this is any help at all and not more frustration for you. Best of luck. I can't imagine.
it would help if you could at least remember the age of the child, if it was a boy or a girl, or ANYTHING. there are almost 100 episodes nobody has time to watch them all. especiall this mom. and yes, you did cause more frustration considering that show could hold a crucial piece of information and you weren't even paying attention and provided absolutely nothing to go on. try to remember something. thanks.
maybe it is a food allergy?? they have been linking autism to food allergies and people see a remarkable difference in their children's mental state after altering their diets. my friend's niece has it and they found out she was allergic to wheat and they have seen an improvement in her since changing her food.
I have something similar, I have CP though. Are you sure the doctors didn't miss Dysrhythmia in his left frontal lobe of his brain. It's not always easy to detect, it took a few EEG's before they finally nailed mine. I get confused etc. unless I eat.
I was thinking it could still be related to the CP then. I also have Reflux Esophagitis which makes me barfy etc after I eat, sometimes there's pain like a straight up and down sharp knife feeling in my stomach. If he wasn't still using a g-tube I would suggest Maalox, but then again ask the doctor in case he might be able to use it.
He could be experiencing siezures related to food allergy, or a possible neurological disorder. Seek out a pediatric neuro that specializes in genetic disorders, and a pediatric gasteuroenterologist. Seizures can be triggered by many things. Film him for the doctors, bless you all, I'll be praying. (My son is also sick, he is critical with many problems)
He has been seen by a pediatric neurologist, he cleared him of any seizure disorder. He continues to see a Pediatric Gastroenterologist, he has seen many, they just can't figure it out. Please pass this video on to anyone who might know anything...and thank you sooo much, your input is appreciatiated
This is my little Alexander, age 6. Hx of GERD. G-tube. After feeding either through g-tube or by mouth, he experiences extreme pain in his stomach whether it is touched or not and his stomach becomes distened, sometimes throwing up, shortly after the pain he then becomes extremely dizzy and altered until he falls asleep. While altered he experiences less pain, in fact he says his stomach only hurts when touched. After becomming altered he falls asleep and when he wakes up he appears normal.
