sorry, i knew i should of said in i was quoating a major auto publication that tested a new 427/435 back in the day and they said 11. 2 so i guess thats wrong
the 427/435 hp vette would run in the 11s stock back in the day and this vette was a L88 wich is more hp , i really doubt a 400 ram air would run even in the 13s back in the day stock

The L88 recorded the best time of 11.15 stock with 10 inch slicks!
And there is No way a 435hp would come close. Get your facts straight before trying to blow smoke up ppls butts. The best a 65 to 67 BB would run stock is maybe 12.6 with a seasoned driver. Trust me when I say I know....My 67 ran high 12.7's and I have been drag racing since 78.

@HUGAMEXICAN . No. its a NHRA certified stock engine. 13:1, Gm solid lifter cam. 427 cubic inch, running original Exhaust manifolds and a full exhaust system. Witha a 850CFM holly. These motors work excellent from factory if tuned propperly.
hemmings motor news did an article called "the fastest mucle cars". a 68 L88 ran the fastest time by far, with the second highest top speed. a dodge daytona had the higher speed, but didn't have the time.
That 'Bird made a good accounting of itself. Ram Air II 'Birds were the sleeper of sleepers.
