10cc as well as many other Brit bands raised the bar and set trends we all listen to. The majority of the commercial radio listeners haven't a clue why we are where we are today. If it wasn't on the radio or they hadn't heard it before then it "sucked". I feel sorry for those folks. They live on a very narrow road.

Likewise, 10cc never did anything as powerful as Queen's first few albums. You can't compare the 2-they are radically different. That's just my opinion...I could be wrong...

So-the debate here over the last week is over who was better-10cc or Queen. Which is tastier-apples or oranges? There's no comparison-they are 2 different entities. As far as tight, brilliant and incredibly clever music, it's10cc. Thunderbolts and lightening - very very frightening versus You need a yen to make a mark if you wanna make money -Sorry Queen fans; 10cc, game set match.

I lkike both bands but your point here is clearly flawed. You've chosen a great 10cc lyric and compared it to a nonsense queen lyric and concluded that that means 10cc were a smarter band. Thats ridiculous, Bohemian Rhapsody is meant to be nonsnense, nothing wrong with that. Wall street shuffle isn't,nothing wrong with that either, but you certainly can't compare the two lyrically. And are you saying that queen are less tight and clever than 10cc? I think both were very tight and very clever.

Oh and tell me if you agree with me on this. In the tribute after Freddie's death, the singer with a vocal range that came closest to his was Annie Lennox.

I´m so ashamed, I haven´t seen the whole tribute-concert. I feel that anyone trying to preform Queen-songs violates it, since (I think) no-one ever will be as good as Freddie.

As for the range, I think Ian Gillan had a bit bigger range (he could sing a little bit lower than Freddie). But that was with the falsetto, without it, I´m not sure.

Roger Taylor (in Queen) sang the F above high C in headvoice, the highest I´ve ever heard Freddie sing, but he couldn´t sing nearly as low as him.

Yes, recorded at Wembley in 1982 as part of the International Music Show. Personally, the best live performance I've seen by any band.

I saw them about 1972/3/4 at Cardiff Castle. They were heaading the bill and preceded by Thin Lizzy, Steeleye Span and Man. It rained the whole day (actually it pored). 10 cc came on at about 10 pm and after the first chord was played the whole stage seemed to explode.... everyone thought it was the rain but it was the show. Around 11 pm they play "I ám not in Love", the whole of cardif stood still to listen.... it was magic

Oh no , they had many many hits together after this. After 'Sheet Music' where this song is from they released 'Original Soundtrack'1975 and 'How Dare you' 1976. Great albums all of them!
