I currently have a spare computer with about 200gb of hard drive/ 2gb ram , i was thinking of making it a voip server, mainly for my game, Is this the best way to look at this, or are there other ways ?great video too, you gave me confidence to try this :).
any help would be gratefully received , thank you.
once the vmware MS server 2003 is up and running can you run physical clients through tthe DHCP to test policies user accounts etc? or even a vmware client?
i don't have Important Docs or anything I just need a VS. Cause i need a Host Server For my Game software. That i made From C++ .And it took me little over 2months to make it. but Does this Really Work like GOOD enough. to Hold Massive Files like my Game server
@Akiuk100 I don't see why not. It''s not going to host hundreds of people at once, but our team uses a VM with sever 2008 to host a CENSORED Server for debugging and testing quest scripts/code. It easily handles 30 people at once even in the most intense instances.
@wirednick Thanks for the nice words. FYI, I am getting ready to do a whole bunch of other videos as well. At least, Server 2008 /R2, SQL Server 2008 /R2, Visual Studio 2010, the new AdventureWorks demo databases, and some iPhone programming stuff as well.
Also, I will be doing a multipart tutorial on securing both Windows 7 and OS X Snow Leopard. This will include the OS and also things for secure browsing and privacy as well as encryption.
@the731272 I wish they would at least join forces and do their standards together. They should also let either company support any type of document the other makes with no problems.
You are using a MAC to install a Microsoft Server program. How do you do it?
