5:22 to go in the 3 qtr the point was bulls 79 and Sixers 61 at the ended of 3 qtr with 1:53 go the point was bulls 94 and sixers 65 WOW WOW in 3:31 bulls 15 and sixers 4
I remember this game very well, i remember the hoopla leading up to this game with Stackhouse and Maxwell popping off at the mouth talking trash. Now trash talk is a part of the game, i understand that, but MJ is that one dude you don't talk shit to, you just don't. Just let your play do the talking. I remember watching this game and just seeing MJ absolutely torch and annihilate both young dumb Stackhouse and MJ's so called rival Mad Max. MJ had 48 points in only 3 quarters,'96 bulls was sick.
@MIKESOWELL Yeah, i know what you mean, i was a little dissapointed Phil took MJ out as well. He would have hit 60 points easily in that game, i guess since the Bulls we're torching Philly so bad on they're home floor, he decided to take MJ out. The Bulls were up by more than 30 points going into the fourth period. The Bulls had so many games like this in '96 and '97, where MJ, Pip & Worm hit the bench early, and that definantly costed them points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, etc.
This is just sick @ 5:35 when the commentators are like "...and listen to the crowd, they're on their feet for that one..." with Scottie-to-Dennis... and they're in freaking Philly! That is sad when your home crowd is cheering for the other team!!!
This Bulls edition has problaby the best backcourt defensive team of all time...and i not talking about MJ and PIP only... because Ron Harper was an above average defender...Just imagine if you POSSIBLY beat Jordan and Pippen Harper was waiting for you...UNFAIR...
You can see that Stackhouse was in trouble. Jordan came onto the court already sweating. That means he was shooting extra before the game to make sure he was hot for gametime. He did the same thing to LaBradford Smith in 1993.
What I remember about this game was Jordan saving the ball from going out of bounds by throwing an amazing over the head pass to Pippen. Best assist of the season.
@ercarras Actually they were pretty good. They had some notable talent in Stackhouse Maxwell, and Weatherspoon. It was just hard for them to compete against a fired up MJ. That Bulls team was remarkable in itself with some great role players.
At 5:27 Pippen completely left Stackhouse in the dust & applied the jam. the next play was even more hilarious. The Bulls were making the Sixers look silly in all aspects of the game. It was quite embarrassing to watch if you ask me.
1996 Bulls. Greatest team in NBA history. Unstoppable. I don't think any of our current NBA teams we have here today would stand a chance against them.
The Bulls seemed to take great pleasure in throttling this team. What kind of dumbass would talk trash in the media about Jordan and Pippen? Why get them fired up? Jordan especially. Vernon Maxwell = idiot.
and you see the results, 48pts through 3 qrts. Remember the Con-game with Jeff Van Gundy in 97. Why would you make comments about him in the media, he's always looking for a challenge so why give him one. Stupid!!!!
This was hd back then lol

@delfra70 I was mad that Jackson took him out. I wanted Jordan to score at least 60 this game.

42 pts in a qtr is just...no comment.

Pippen's subtlety kills teams without them even knowing.
They almost always focus on MJ, but Pippen is like killing them softly.
Stats tell very little story about Pippen, LBJ has alot to learn.

Stackhouse said during Jordan's first retirement "He isnt as good as he was before ,I beat him 1 on 1"
After that, whenever Bulls played against Sixers and Stackhouse,Jordan never scored under 40 points.

Jordan Rule #1 - Don't cross MJ through the media. You will not win.
Jordan Rule #2 - Don't cross MJ AND Pippen through the media. You will not win.
Jordan Rule #3 - If Jordan has the flu, don't show up. You will not win.
Jordan Rule #4 - Do not engage in any mind games with Jordan, Pippen, and least of all, Rodman. You will not win.
