I don't go out to bars/clubs but if they played this music I would rather than the stupid electronic stuff where you just jump up and down and everyone is grinding
Come on everybody! Clap your hands! Oh you looking good! I'm gonna sing my song, it won't take long, we're gonna do the twist and it goes like this!...

When the Twist first came out on American Bandstand there were 3 of us who practiced till we dropped but got pretty good at it. We all went to the Teen Club in Columbia, SC and when the song came on we all jumped up and really put on a show doing the Twist, but in the midst of the dance, the chaparones stopped us and we had to go to the office and we were restricted from the club for 4 weeks. But now can pass that tidbit on to the younger generation. LOL
@scatzta YES, siree! its just so frustrating to not have any real music nowadays... and so in a way i'd rather be you, but age is sure is just a number!
I Hope you people donjt feel likeI feel when I see these Videos! I was in the audiance of the Ed Sullivan show in 1964 when the Beatles first came over. I was young ad Alive. NOW I am very sick, Lost a leg and life has been bvery cruel to me. Ive lost ALL my friends and sit at home alone every day. These songs remind me of a better time as I sit here and wait ti die alone. Enjoy your life and your kids when you can. Life can change in a sec They were the best of times. Peace and love to all

@bernergile YEP... MY MOM AND DAD SHOULD PLAYED THIS SONG FOR ME AS A KID IN THE 1970'S IT WAS SO SAD TO SEE TWO MIDDLE AGE PEOPLE .. TRYING TO RELIVE THIER YOUTH
sierra64 - most of the singers out there were black like many of the songs - though they've been copied, but when you hear the original you'll hear the beautiful voices! Muhamedg4 - nothing funny about him - he has a great voice
