@EnteractiveStudios I totally agree. IMO, the originals (NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy, and Gamecube) were better. Super Mario Brothers 3 was my favorite of all time. These new ones are so overrated with all the new mushroom powerups and everything. I mean @ 3:15, a cannon. Seriously. And for Mario Kart 7, a power-up that gives you every single power-up. These ones aren't even that fun. I would rather play Halo or Battlefield

For example, Metroid Prime is the best Metroid, Halo CE is the best Halo, Super Mario Brothers 3 is the best mario game, and the list goes on. These new games are all about graphics and not gameplay or storyline, and just seem not nearly as good.

@Hylian1seven IMO, you can compare all games whether RPG, streategy, platformer, shooter, etc. The best ones will the be the ones that are the funnest, have the replay value, and will be the ones that revolutionize gaming. Matbe I am a fool or idiot for liking the originals and classics better. The only recent games I really loved were Super Mario Galaxy, Battlefield 3, Skyrim and Oblivion, and Halo 3.

I loved this fight (the nod to Donkey Kong was genius)! Overall, I felt that 3D Land had some of the less interesting boss fights in the series though. Don't get me wrong, I loved all the Bowser confrontations, and this last one was quite memorable, but Boom Boom and Pom Pom weren't nearly as engaging as other boss fights in the series.
