Original 2 seater T-birds were the best looking cars ever made until Ford made the GT40. I had a 55 with no opera window when I was young and stupid. Traded it in on a 66 VW bug. How dumb is that?
you go to do it yourself. i suggest going on ebay motors to pick one up for cheap if you have a 3.8 l v6 your lucky they're easy to find but if your looking for a 4.6l v8 one try looking for a mustang super charger they share the same basic motor of that year. im looking for a super charger for my 97 seen some on eaby for like 1500 to 3 grand
the best t-bird to own is a 97 4.6 t-bird. you get that thing supercharged and you have atleast 270 horsepower. Fast car sporty. Get it in red and black and you have yourself a heck of a car
HAHA I got 360 hp rwd dynoed without supercharger. Stage 2 PI heads and cams 10.5 compression, headers, custom 2.5 tru Dual exhaust and 3.73 cobra rear end cost me roughly all 3500 all labor my self tune cost me 500 bucks but hey I eat about anycar on the road shy of a 80000 sports car. or modified lt1
The Ford Thunderbird was every bit as sporty as a Corvette, and as classy as a Cadillac. The quint essential American auto. Ford more often than not built some amazing T-Birds, though none as stunning as the original 1955-57, but came very close in 2002. Like the gentleman in the clip, I too one do set out to own a T-Bird!
I had a 57 T-Bird, I could drive through Bellaire and the gates would open, no questions. Pure class. First husband wrecked it, bent the frame and had to drive around with an extra 100 in the glove box just to keepit on the road. Had to get rid of it. I'd love to have another one.
i just got a 68 TBird today! needs some love but a daily driver, only 19,xxx miles on it.
all original.
