Yes I understand what your saying, dont get me wrong - Im not having a go at the breed, they really are a beautiful bird, It was because I was expecting a better flying style than the ones that mine had. Although mine were quite a small bird and almost identical to some of the ones in your Video your proberly right about the way mine were bred. One day I'd love to see some pure Portugese Tumblers and Im sure I'd be amazed.
@neilbee I have a vid of two of them flying. Ive put them apart from the kit cuze in this way its easier for the Youtube viewer to watch the performing.
I bought about 40 of these last year, I sold al my Birmingham Rollers to make space - I wish I never, they dont perform a great deal, but you do get some nice colours.
cuze for sure th came from crosses. thats why they have new colors now. the german breeders do that a lot. thats bad.its not enough they cross the birds but also they are not the original type like we still mantain here in Portugal. wha tcan I say... its a shame they dont follow the original portuguese standard. thanks for the coment.

I love pidgeons! I see the other pigeons you have there. Do you have more videos of your pidgeons? Also I have a beautiful Wood pidgeon who often visits my Bird table, know any food other than wheat and seeds that I can put out for him to enjoy?
Yes, this is a young bird but a full grown up bird!
It wont get bigger than this. And if you have doubts about this pigeon breed size watch my other video: portuguese tumbler small size and you'll see if its true or not!
Love the birds.. and would like a few . I have a great facility and stay home all day with the kids so they will be taken care of . please let me know thanks jason (816)248-9005 outside of K.C mo
I used to have a few white barbary doves and they were quite small, although not as small as the diamond doves my wife kept. I also has a budapester hen and she was about the size of those in your video. Do you fly these birds out?
@CaptainRyan242 I think they started to call them like that after a stupid movie of Woody Allen where he calls pigeons as flying rats. Its obvious that people that make remarks like that dont have a brain of their own. lol
The terms pigeon and dove are interchangeable. Technically speaking diamond or ground doves are the smallest. I'm not sure... Anyway, they are all in the same family and order.
Just checking in to say hello. I know it's been a while, but I've been swamped with building this business. I just picked up a pair of Italian Owls (Reggianino) the other day. I NEEDED some birds around. Frank
Actually, as myself and PT have discussed before, the Portuguese Tumbler does resemble a few other breeds, but they are quite distince in some aspects, especially the head as well as personality and temperament. Awesome Birds Pedro! :) Always love looking at your birds and hope to import some of them one day. LOL
next time try showing an adult

Its not: Diamond Pigeon!
Its:Diamond Dove.
And the Portuguese Tumbler is the smallest pigeon breed among all the Fancy pigeon breeds in the world.
