I was thinking about a string lights that could be set up more permanently on location then as needed the color and "radiant design" adjusted for different seasons: like Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Favorite Sports team events, Patriotic Holidays. If the primary colors bulbs were inside the bulb, amount of radiant light adjusted, every conceivable color combination could be created for any occasion.
They won't ship to Massachusetts...I wonder if this has anything to do with ColorKinetics being based out of Boston, being a direct competitor to this product...

Current site says "Sorry, but due to a number of manufacturing problems in the current batch of lights,
we've decided not to sell any more until we can have a new batch made.
We don't have a good estimate yet on when they will be available."

I doubt it, you'll find that you can't ship most anything to Massachusetts. I live in MA, too. =\
