@Javadday trust me doc. that's EP #8 on the MKS 20 with the chorus fx and that modified hugo bass patch on the JV 1080. i know this because those are my modules he's useing. i am blessed with that west coast madness every sunday now. he programed them. i am crazy happy now.

@DatPlaya88 that hugo bass on the poly option is a beast, i have it on my jv 2080! Its always good to go through your modules and mix and match sounds between your board and module and come up with crazy combinations!

That sound at 2:58 is either a Punch Lead or some type of synth lead sound!!! It sounds REALLY good layered with Vintage 74 on Yamaha Motif... Hope this helps!

Doobie Powell! he was playin straight 4 a reason! just cuz he didn't go OD on the set during shouting music does not mean he sucks! besides the fact that the the drum set was a 1990 pearl export th@ was not set up right, its not about wut u can do in this situation, its about wut u should do! comin from sum1 who was there, th@ was some of the most intense & annointed shouting music i've ever witnessed!!! everybody was in the pocket! hint hint...

Does anyone know how to get the sound or what Mike is using? It looked like he adjusted a rack module or something about halfway through the shout to get his sound. Jason White using something very similar.

Jason and Mike use a Roland MKS-20 module. He patched a couple of sounds together to get it. I'm not sure what sounds but my guess is a Roads with a synth pad or a synth brass. They're discontinued but u can get 1 off ebay or craigslist. I'm trying to get 1 myself!!

I've been following Mike for 2 years now and been trying to embed his playing style into mine. BTW Thank you for posting a vid with Mike Bereal using his funky synth sound during a shout!!

@Javadday LOL I already know what is doc. Its a dry E.Piano 1 on the P-330 and a modified Hugo Bass from the JV 1080. My boy Prentice used his P-330 and my JV 1080 to use that same sound Mike's using in this video. Its an awesome sound for shout!
