As a single mother on medicade. A lot of these are biased comments. Not all of us are freeloaders and losers. I have an education. I have worked. I refused cash assistance because I wanted to work. I agree that many people on welfare are freeloaders who are lazy. But not all of us.
As the mother of a special needs child on Medicaid, i'm appauled at some of these comments. Not all Medicaid recipients are low income and mooching off the system. Please keep that in mind before you pass judgement. Sure, I could afford to pay for diapers for my child who should have been toilet trained long ago, but paying for those out of pocket may take away from something else he needs that is not covered by insurance.
@kristencurrent I don't think most of us have a problem helping folks who really need it and when they treat us with respect. We have a problem with folks with the entitlement attitude, like they deserve stuff for free (paid with our tax dollars) that the rest of have to work and pay for ourselves. Even worse when they can afford an iPhone 4, Coach purse and late model, expensive car. If people can do that, they need to throtlle back on the luxuries and support their own kids themselves.

Ugh, so true and the mothers who get the free diapers are always crazy too. One mother constantly comes in, demands the diapers to be ready in 5 minutes, despite the fact that we always have to order them, and if she doesn't get them asap she'll threaten to just take some diapers off of the shelf because they're "her's" anyways.
I wish i could like this a million times, this happens daily. If it's not diapers its formula, condoms, lubricant, lotion, and a whole bunch of other crap.
lol its great when people get all crazy cause their medicaid wont cover their OTC benadryl and what good is it if it dont cover anything. Well if you dont like your free insurance cancel the shit n save me some taxes.
@amymdarling NY Medicaid angers me, lol. We bill diapers for several customers and no matter how many times we ask for them to give us a heads up they always seem to run out of diapers and need a package to hold them over.
