i miss when wrestling fans appreciated the contributions of the older guys. could you imagine how the crowd would've reacted if Bret Hart would have made his comeback then? the roof would've blown off the place. hell, even grandmaster sexay or road dogg would've gotten a bigger response than he did last year. it was embarrassing to see how the crowd responded to them.

@RKVersion1 They did want to kill it. Them saying they wanted to make the wwf better wasn't real. They were being sarcastic and playing the crowd. The angle just didn't work well in the wwf. There were too many stars in the wwf at the time to make this angle work like it did in WCW.

Sure everyone loved the attitude era...but this was one of the best times in WWE...All the top stars from WCW, WWF, and ECW were finally altogether in one league. Too bad Kevin Nash fucked up his leg and Vince had to drop the NWO story. I think that was supposed to bigger than the INVASION angle. Too bad Scott Hall and Buff Bagwell fucked up and left almost immediately. But soon after the Rock retired, I stopped watching. Sure it was okay, but with Shit like "Eugene" I couldn't watch anymore.

The WWE gave the D-X revival more attention in two nights than it gave the nWo in two months. RAW became the McMahon vs D-X show where as you hardly even knew that the nWo was part of RAW after Hogan's face turn. It's almost as if the nWo was brought in solely to set up the Hogan vs Rock match at Wrestlemania, cause the nWo did bugger all else in the WWE.
