This is a fine movie. It scared me to death when I saw it for the first time in 1974, but that is the purpose of horror movies. Unfortunately, there are several scenes that are missing from this uploaded version.
@Zero11270: The cartoon one is okay. The animation is godawful, but the story is very close to the novel (for the most part, anyway). To my knowledge, it's up on YouTube. :D
I think Christine is very pretty and adorable in this! She has a lovely voice too. Thank you for posting this, I've been wanting to see this version for a long while now!
I love this verison of the Phantom. I mean no offense to 2004 one... but I get so tired of the whole Phantom-Christine love stuff. Its just kinda done too many times. This Phantom had so much character and fear in his. And this Christine had a LOVELY voice and talent:)!
I think this Christine's lovely! Heather Sears may not be a "classic" beauty in the style of Mary Philbin or Jane Seymour but I still find her very pretty and charming. There's a sweetness and an innocence to her that I find very appealing.
She has a wonderful voice, and I think she's attractive. Either way, what's the big deal? Christine isn't supermodel material so she isn't worthy of Erik's admiration anymore?
@PuppetMuffin The official screenplay for this movie displays that there is no romance between the Phantom and Christine (that he's only interested in her voice).

This is my favorite out of all the remakes. But, I gotta ask, what's that cartoon one like? the one from the 80s... XD
