to me it sound will it could be allergy's so try switching your soaps before you give up but most of the time it's the waters spray or bubbles that cause it. it's not normal because most people aren't that sensitive to it
lol, it's not normal but lately it's been happening to me as well. and it sounds like you are allgeric. it may not be the stuff you use though. it could be mold or something. i have discovered that in our bathroom it is the baby powder. on other note..i have very senitive skin..so I have to be careful about my products and organic doesn't always mean it is okay for you. you can have allergies to natural things as well. you just gotta do some research. :)
It sounds more like "Vasomotor rhinitis". A sensitivity to strong chemical smells like perfumes, paint, etc. It triggers allergy-like symptons like sneezing, headaches, etc. but it's not a true allegeric reaction. I have it. If it becomes a real problem, there are medicines and nasal sprays for it.
Your room has a lot of stuff... lol It's only a allergic reaction if there's a common product or chemical in all your bath produtcs. SO, step back and remember at least the last 5 things you used and read to see if they have something in common. Then you find the silent killer :)
Hmmm...seems like an allergic reaction. Maybe to some ingredient that is common to most shampoos or body washes, if you're sneezing regardless of which brand. It's possible to develop allergies to things at any time in your life, so who knows? I think organic is a good idea -- it couldn't hurt to try, anyway. I can't use any type of deodorant other than Tom's of Maine. Anything else causes a strong burning sensation. Anyhoo, good luck solving this mystery! :)
You may want to try organic either way...could be the chemicals OR just the fragrance. Or it could even be just the time of day if you take the shower roughly the same time every day...hope this helps.
Take the shampoo and body wash and sniff them when not showering... Do you sneeze?
On the other hand, just take a shower, don't use soap, or shampoo, or bodywash. Just shower. Do you sneeze?
I think this experiment may go some way to answering your question. That- and steam make everything penetrate a bit more than it normally would, in my experience.
Yikes I hope your not allergic to water!! Just kidding! But I do think you should try using organic products and see if that stops you from sneezing. Or maybe unscented stuff. I cough every time I eat ice cream, and only ice cream. Strange huh? Well good luck!
I didnt mean to film when ur in the shower using the shampoo- im not perverted, i meant like film yourself washing your hair in like the sink or somethin with the shampoo so we can see when &what exactly makes you sneeze. I actually commented on this video because my uncle is an allergenist and he told me that he's worked with people that have allergic reactions to their shampoo. If you upload the sneezing reaction, I can show my uncle &then I can tell you what to do about it; I bet he'll help.
Could be a sensitivity to something in the shampoo and/or body wash. Whether it is an allergy or not will probably depnd on how much it makes you sneeze, if it is alot then that sensitivity may infact be an allergy. It is possible, if is just a general non-allergic sensitivity that the temperatures in the shower effect your nose and render it more sensitive. I would smell the products outside of the shower. if you get no reaction you are probably not allergic. If your allergic, go organic.
yes, I think you are allergic to your shampoo/body wash, no switching to organic may not help so it is not worth switching. are we talking a hand full of sneezes or are we talking sneezing for 5-10 minutes or what?
I agree with shahin737; I want to (see) exactly what she's talking about... You should just film when you are having these sneeze attacks, so then all of us can tell what it is like, ya know what I mean?
I would have to shower with you for a proper diagnosis.

do you stop sneezing as soon as you wash the shampoo and body wash off or does it continue after you have rinsed it off
moflitch 3 years ago
It doesn't stop right off but within 5 mins or so from rinsing off.

Yeah! I agree. In order to give a complete analysis, it would be better for us to actually see the sneezes.
