Joe is a great musician. One of the greatest. But if he wants to have a band outside of Aerosmith then he needs to get a lead singer with a different sound and form a band with it's own sound and character. You can't clone Aerosmith. It then looks like a cheap imitation fit for cruise ship entertainment. (No offense please, cruise ship bands!) I don't blame him for wanting to keep working though. It's good for the soul. This kid has a good voice but it's too weird.

My dad was wounded in Desert Storm, an Army Ranger who is now paralized & in wheelchair. Even disabled, he used to take me to every Aerosmith show that came near us~~his all time fave band. Out of the blue he stopped listenting to them (I thought it was cos he always said the old A.smith was so better, but found out he had read the band's autobiography. In it Joe says :Steven is always hanging out with those freaks in wheelchairs at shows. I'll never go to another of their shows, but love Steve

I gotta hand it to Joe for trying & making original music. The Hagen guy has a pretty good voice - all he needs to say is that he's not trying to be ST & will sing those songs the best that he can. The album wasn't bad. Steven seems to have had no interest in trying/helping to create new music with the band while a lot of their peers ARE doing so. A shame...so everybody keeps moving on. At least their live shows are going well, but it's the same music re-hashed.

I don't think Joe wants to get rid of Steven, after all these years of playing together. But they were already supposed to have a new album out by now! Joe just said if Steven wants to take 2 years off like he was saying then Joe wants to go on and keep rockin anyway, and so does the rest of the band. 2 years is a lot of time considering they used to release and album every year in the 70s.

2. If Joe wanna make solo albums, well He can do that, nobody's gonna say no.
