I think the game was only between the two of those. he could only use one finger to do whatever he wanted to the other player. anzu wasn't a player and therefore yami's interactions with her wouldn't effect the outcome. just a theory

This is also why you often see high schoolers in anime attending "cram schools". It's all part of the competition to get into the best colleges and get the best jobs.

@tribeking100 That's the point. The original Yugioh was about games in general. That's why the title Yugi won was King of Games. It's just that the card game the creator made for when Kaiba showed became so popular that the series started to be orientated around it and they made a real life version, which sold like water.

@MegaSparker22 He actually did against Kaiba. But that whole element seemed to be wrote out later on. I guess they wanted to differentiate Yugi from the baddies by not letting him abuse his magical powers like how they do.
