Their (primary) job is to protect capital and be suspicious of those who might pose a problem for capital (citizens), so any cop getting a beating is a justified situation in my book.

the goal was to immobilize the intruder and take him off the field. The inability of the police officer who struck him repeatedly with his baton before the eyes of all, has caused a chain reaction with collateral damage for everyone. It is the classic example of how it should be made computer security: be entrusted to capable people and not recommended to people incapable, as often happens (at least in Italy).
