As soon as I receive the Zoom I'll get to work and upload a video around a twisty road I found. Hopefully the Zoom H1 will capture the sound well but I'll test it out with different settings before making the run. I'll be sure to notify you of course
That's awesome news! Thank you so much for the very quick reply. I just purchased the Zoom H1 and windscreen from BHphotovideo. Can't wait to strap it in the car and make some Prelude videos haha. Going to have a blast.
@mikeschmeee Good choice ;) Have fun experimenting with the different settings of the mic, could take a while to find the ideal ones ^^
I'm curios to see some of your videos, I like Hondas for their Vtec-system ^^ Sounds simply amazing in my eyes ^^ I bet thats the ideal sound to record with the Zoom, its weakness is mostly deep frequencies, like the mentioned volumetric sounds... Bright sounds like the "sawing" sound of high-reving Hondas should sound amazing :)
Hello! Great video but I have one question. May you please upload a quick clip of you flooring it on the highway? I am in the middle of purchasing a Zoom H1 but I would like to know if its worth it in order to capture car audio (Engine and exhaust notes)
At the end of your clip it sounds pretty darn good if you ask me but I would like to hear it from as close as possible to the engine bay to get the best "roaring" sound possible.
@mikeschmeee Thanks ;) I wrote you a personal message ^^
For my part, the Zoom was a perfect choice for those types of recordings ^^ The "sound image" is very real and clear, even the tinkling of the keys in the last scene has been recorded ;)
Strubbel, wie hast du den camera montiert???
