I concur. If we allow homosexuals to marry, we must also allow marriage between humans and animals because animals have all the same legal standing as a human and deserve the same rights. We would also have to allow marriage between pedophiles because children are totally old enough to make that decision and according to all studies done, homosexuals are always pedophiles so they're essentially one in that same. ;^)

Homosexuality, on the other hand, was removed from the list of disorders by organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association decades ago. No respectable mental health professional would agree with what you said. And homosexuals being pedophiles? Are you fucking serious? What are you, from Uganda or something? @GinnyStoleMyMan My mistake, but my reaction was indeed based on the knowledge that there really are people who are that stupid. Recently a show called Vanguard did an episode called "Missionaries of Hate" detailing the attempts by Christian extremists to make homosexuality a crime punishable by death. Look up Pastor Martin Ssemper and you will see just how close his assertions come to your satire.  It's bone-chilling. What you say as a joke is really what other some other people think.

I can't decide if I'm afraid of people who really think stuff like this, or if I find them funny. I think the line is crossed when they take it to the streets. The misinformation is honestly laughable but the fact that they have the ability to convince others... not a good thing.

@GinnyStoleMyMan For good measure, you can look up Evangelical preacher Scott Lively, who was also on that episode supporting the anti-homosexuality bill, and hear him spout off about a "gay Nazi takeover" of the US military in regard to repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell.  Oh yes, they're out there.

@IBANEZBB103 When marriage was created it had noting to with morals. Marriage was about producing a heir and to move up in society. In ancient societies same-sex relationships between two males was extremely accepted. The same could not be said for women because women didn't have the same rights as men. There were also same-sex marriage ceremonies. It's believed that the Emperor Nero had two of these ceremonies. Gay marriage was not legal because there was no social gain.

I can't imagine there'd be many brothers who wanted to be in a relationship with each other, and if there were I'd say that there were some problems that needed addressing first. At the same time I can't think of a reason why not, even though it seems wierd. On the triple marriage thing, again it seems odd, but I don't see why not. Polygamy already happens, and works, in some cultures already.

You'll say I'm married, and if you don't clarify, people won't know if you're married to your brother, two brothers, whatever. I raise the point because for a lot of people, they defend gay marriage by first saying it's a fundamental right, then ignoring other groups of people that might like to have legalized marriage as well.
