  • "What is this?" is asking about the true nature of our thoughts. However, we don't see this nature. We only see this nature in a phenomenalized form, both externally and internally. In meditation we try to see this pure nature. If we ever see this nature, we realize that the world is Mind-only (pure Mind and this nature are the same). To see this nature is enlightenment.
