i recomend u take it from nyc to d.c, longer ride,although it would cost more, id u wanna go to philly, i found this great railfanning spot where u can see CSX's treanton line, amtrak,NJT, and septa trains arriving and departing 3oth street atation. it's in the parking garage, so if u go ask where is the parking garage
I know where the parking garage is. I pass by it whenever I'm in Philadelphia. Another railfanning spot is North Philadelphia Station. There you can get action from Amtrak & SEPTA as well as NJT's AC Line trains & CSX Trains.
i'm going to ride it and come back on it :)) I've been riding amtrak for some time now.. some years. :)) Though I love to fly.

You're lucky! I haven't been on an Amtrak train in a long time! (especially the Acela Express) I need to ride an Amtrak train so bad!
