They had consensual sex on the beach and she flipped out when he accidently called her by his ex-girlfriend's name. She was a liar who was trying to get something off the Kennedys. Even my most conservative friends agreed that Smith was innocent. You were convinced of his guilty because his middle name was "Kennedy" (while I'm certain you called Anita Hill a liar).

No it isn't a solemn moment. I feel absolutely NOTHING for Ted Kennedy. I don't care what ANYBODY thinks about me for saying that, either. I despise him for what he did. He should NEVER have had a future in politics after what he did. If he were ANYBODY else other than a Kennedy, his decomposing body would STILL be in prison right now. I have tremendous respect for him. Its easy to vilify anyone in politics but Ted Kennedy was respected (not loved) by both parties. He certainly wasn't perfect but no man is. It is scary reading some of the comments here. It is evident how polarized America has become. Its like teammates on a team rooting AGAINST each other. Divided teams never win. I agree about Senator Kennedy's ex-wife Joan and the mis-treatment of her place in this family during the coverage of his passing. We all realize that they are divorced, but, like you said: she's the mother of his three children, for crying out loud. Subsequently, all the fawning over the new wife, Vicki, was seriously getting on my nerves. As well as her constant running up to everyone to "milk her grief."

The viewing public couldn't get a look at the REAL Kennedy's (like Bobby's wife Ethel, whose still alive), because poor, grieving Vicki was constantly in front of the camera. That's why I was so glad that Caroline mentioned his sister, Jean, as Teddy's soulmate at the memorial on Friday.
