There's no use in getting on of these cheap netbooks/tablets. It's not even worth the $80 IMO. Just get a full blown laptop off of ebay. I got my mom a 1.6ghz 1gb Dell for around $92 (inlcuding shipping), if you get lucky, you get a decent battery and a hard drive for around that price. Otherwise, add around $30 for the other components. Chances are, you'll have to get some parts individually, but that's how you get it cheap. Don't forget the "hard drive connector" if you get a new HDD.

There are tons of free applications for it, it's not prone to viruses like a desktop OS and you can skin the desktop to make it look like better. Not to mention you can get some real slick desktop launchers that covers the "cheap" looking interface.

But WinCE was designed for mobile professionals who cares more about functionality over looks.

This is more of a PDA than a Netbook. Its still pretty cool and it might could run the Skyfire Web Browser, witch does do flash video. I had Skyfire on my old HTC Titan and it worked great.

You can surely remove that crappy WinCE and install a good Linux distro with the kernel targeted for ARM processors, and you'll be able to do anything you can do on a normal desktop Linux machine. I currently have a eee 1005hab xp, 2gbram, 160gbhdd, intel atom. i ordered a $100 US 7.1 inch netbook on at eglobalwireless and is shocking it runs so fast in 128mb ram, even my 1005hab doesn't even run that fast. i don't do much, just text editing, and some browsing to watch videos and play facebook games, but i love it. I MIGHT buy my nephew one for xmas, if you're on a butget and just do school work and web, get these. not much of an upgrade to get an asus.just get an sd card to store stuff
