@msbeautycafe I got it from their website but you can get it other places. maybe cheaper that way. Mine came with 20 C-shells but I got mine a long time ago. Im not sure how many come with the sets now.

@MakeUpMust The reason i ask is cause i've been begging my husband to buy me the topstyler but where ever i look it just comes with the 10 shells so im bummed out about that but i'm excited that he finally budged and is goind to get it for me this weekend as a B-day present. I suck suck suck with curling irons on a scale from 1-10 how easy was it for you to finally master it?

@msbeautycafe Oh lucky you! I dont think I have mastered some looks. but after a few tries the 2 finger or 1 finger curls are easy to do so I'd say 7 cause there are so many different things you can do with it :)

I'm so happy u made this video, it's real with no pauses or anyone to help you! I've been begging for this product since I saw a month ago on infomercials, and my sister got it for Xmas. And I was lost as hell from the moment I tried to use it. Your videos are very helpful and also thanks for product tips as well. When I get it right I'll let u know but don't hold ur breath cuz that might take a while!

Where Did you get a set of 20 c shells? The TopStyler website sells them in packages of 10 but they are selling them buy one get one free - not including the shipping. I'm confused?

@amabile070 When I bought mine last Jan mine came with 20 C-Shells and only one heating unit. I'm not sure why they are doing the 2 foor 1 offer

I am really enjoying your videos. :) I received my topstyler a few days ago. Do you have any tips for really long/thick hair? How long do you let yours heat up for? The operator said I should wait 20 to 30 mins and then keep them in my hair for 15-20 mins. Do you think that necessary?

@pliggens aww thanks :) I'll be making more soon. 20 or 30 minutes to heat up the C-Shells? If thats what you mean then no they don't take nearly that long to heat up maybe 8 minutes or less and less then that when u put a cool Shell on the hot unit. I leave then in about 15-20 minutes. U can do a shorter amount of time depending on the curl you want. I wish I had think hair! lucky you! I dont really have any tips for that. Just try different times & setting sprays if u like :)

@MissThang436 Why do you want a 2nd one? Is it for more for the C-shells? Cause if they are both for you you really dont need 2 of the heating units the C-shells heat up sp fast already...Let me know so I can see if I can help you :)

I just use a round brissel brush that I go from CVS. I really use a lot of diff. hair products but what i use in this video is what I usually use on my hair :)

Hi! I know I've hit ya with a couple other questions. I got the topstyler, used it twice, and both times, even with hairspray afterwards, the beautiful curls fell out within an hour. Suggestions?

@myz313 Ask as many questions as you want :) Are you using an extra hold hair spray? What about some type of mousse if you blow dry your hair straight before you use it?

@BogahBear I have had mine since last January and all the ceramic in my set is in tact and in great shape! I think my curls last long espcially the volume. I think the curls last longer then a curling iron or hot rollers.. I plan on doing a test video where I curl one side of my head with the TopStyler and the other with a curling iron..and wait some hours and show how the curls stood up :)

I am having a hard time getting the finger wrapping technique down. Do you have any advice on how to do it? When I get ready to place my c-shell on the curl, I either end up burning my fingers (doesn't hurt) or the curl comes out before the c-shell is in place. It's like I don't hold my fingers the right way, which may be the case. Any idea would be great. I love this TopStyler, I just hope it works for me. Thanks and great video!

@sweethoneyjlk86 Thanks :) Do you pinch the bottom with just 2 fingers? Are you wrapping it tight enough around your finger(s)? It just takes practice. Im sure you will get it..The next time I make a TopStyler video I'll show a close up of me wrapping the curl and placing the C-Shell on top of it..Im trying to think of a way to explain how to wrap it but its hard to explain..Its more of a feel type thing.
