@kmiranda09 Hi I think you might mean Sally. She is also on the recording for Ben Folds' a cappella album. Search for "wnycradio ben folds luckiest" and watch the video by wnycradio, she had to sing into a coat for the recording.

This is INCREDIBLE. The acappella group I'm in is doing this song for a wedding, and it IS published, cause I have the sheet music. Ridiculously good arrangement too.

this is very nice, the soprano descants are lovely, but why do groups still feel the need to have a very visible over-working student director, especially on a ballad?

Either Joe is actually thinking of someone as he sings this or he's just really good at channeling the emotion of a piece.

I'm a music teacher and a big Ben Fold's fan . . . other than the original, this is the best arrangement I've hear. LOVE THE BALANCE in the Chorus! UNREAL. For a live performance (obviously on an average camera) this is absolutely AMAZING! KUDDOS!

I have to say that the CD does not do you justice. I think this live recording is much better. That's not to say that the CD is bad--it's still phenomenal, it just loses some of the spark that is on this version. Why does the high soprano part drop out at the end on the album?

I cry every time I hear this song, and being that my boyfriend and I just broke up after a year- a year spent with a lot of time singing next to each other in our high school's sixteen-member a Capella jazz choir- I cried even harder this time. When he first asked me out, he did it by playing and singing "The Luckiest" to me alone on a stage, with a single white rose on the piano. I really appreciated this video, thanks for posting it.
