How are you both coping with being non-binary in the midwest? My girlfriend lives in Ohio, close to Indiana, and the idea of leaving my safe space in NY to visit her is kind of terrifying. We met up in Ohio once, but it was in a big city. How are you dealing with it all?
@EloraPilgrim It's important to be cautious at first, but there isn't much to be afraid of here in Carbondale, IL after all. I get the occasional stares but the only thing i miss are the queer friendly spaces that were in california compared to here.
I am trying to locate an Artist named Paul West to purchase more of his work. He was from Long Beach. If you know him, please pass this on for me.
Good luck to you in that area. I am sure you have weighed it out and decided it is all worth it. Be cautious at all times and never let your guard down.Of course we know it is all about love or fear. Many horrible things come from fear.I deal with it daily and have learned to live in a cocoon.Be selective and stay sober-headed until you have allies.
That was rad! You are both awesome! :) I face quite a lot of prejudice where I live as well. It was really helpful and affirming to hear your perspectives and experiences.
@PaperStory I think I will :). I wanted to make a video soon about my opinion of gender in general because it's been really pissing me off. I think I shall make a video response, how exciting. Gotta wait for a day off though. I'm always braindead after work.
I would like to start off with I LOVE OUR VIDEOS and I don't want to sound rude, but you said that people stare. Do you think maybe it's just the piercings or something? That's something I think would grab way attention opposed to anything else.
@MirandaRoss Yes, it is certainly a number of factors at play. The piercings certainly jump start the stares but it is the ongoing glares and negative energy that remains and persists that worries us and like queers. That being said, the town ain't all bad. After some time, people will get use to us being here. Btw: I am the boyfriend, not just a random response.
Hi. I have never been to America but the more I watch YouTube the scarier it seems. Do you need to live in the mid west? I mean I believe that we should all be able to live where we choose but my perhaps cowardly temptation is to run away to somewhere safe where nothing bad is likely to happen on a daily basis. This is especially so of violence. I am not concerned by being ignored or excluded so much but aggressive behaviour is not something I can do for very long.
u will be fine sweedie.u must try your best 2 blend in an enjoy your transition i do xx

Aaron - how long will it be until your fully transitioned? Like right now, you still look like a guy, but when will you start to look more girly?
