@iDunnoYuTellMe fuel comes from the injectors . For your 2nd question , if you look down the piston there is a rotation created . That rotation itself turns other axels , therefore moving the car . I am not a mechanic but that what I think :)
@ChrisMX3417 But in the world of cars, a 4 stroke is better for turboing because a 2 stroked engine have its intake and exhaust opened at the same time. Unlike a 4 stroke which has its intake open while its exhaust closed, it gives turbo chargers a chance to compress the air inside the cylinder even further. Therefore, 4 stroke is better. But, I think that a rotary (wankel engine) may have the potential to be superior to both 2 and 4 stroke engine, it doesn't even have cylinders.
regular cars have 4 stroke, most motorcycles have 4 strokes, but some have 2 stroke, also pushmowers, mopeds, chainsaws and most gas powered lawn equipment have 2 stroke
dont build using this diagram though as you can clearly see the rod colliding with the base rod in this it goes threw it like its invisable but in real life it would jam and brake apart shooting the piston out into someones face heh so the rod would need to be fixed on the outer side
TammyCore theres no need to be a smart arse this is not a diagram nor is its purpose to help you build and engine this is to help people understand how they work

wtf this is not correct as 4 strokes do not have a spark plugs ! they commpress the mixture so much that it ignites and forces the piston down which creates power .
A 4-stroke petrol angine has sparkplugs to ignite the fuel, a 4-stroke diesel uses glowplugs as cold start aids, yes diesel uses compression ignition, the high compression cause immense heat and the fuel combusts, this does not happen in a petrol engine so a sparkplug is required
hey if you like this, you might like a revolutionary concept of the IMPLOSION engine converted from a 4 stroke to do it all in 2 strokes running on water/HHO Brown's Gas, which implodes when ignited in a vacuum.
The graphics are not as good as this is (great job btw) but it is meant as a concept, and the drawings were all done by hand in Paintshop Pro, converted to animated Gif's and later made into a video with explanations of the theory. There are 5 cycles in the 2 strokes.
this is really helpfull for young people startin their career as a mechanic like me i knew how it works before watchin this but it still is very helpfull for starters tanx for puttin it up
Thanks!

will it work without the spark?
jurciks71 7 months ago
@jurciks71 no as the fuel mixture has no way of egniting so im guessing it would just be petrol or diesal that come out you exaust.

a fourstroke dirtbike needs twice the CC's to keep up to a 2 stroke.
250 2 stroke races in the same class as a 450 4 stroke, so yeah twice the power. your ass.

does somebody think its possible to invent a 3 stroke?

no it is not
zbbt05909 4 years ago
Why not, if you become an engineer you can try this.
HellBilly02 3 years ago
Renegade19674... An odd number of piston strokes would leave it at the wrong end for the sequence to start again.. so no odd-numbers make sense!

well it seems better than the 2 stroke because of the slower movement , lets just hope that the 4 strokes get as powerfull as the 2 strokes someday
