Kings County Hospital never had a good reputation. I am not surprised race has nothing to do with it in this case. That hospital has rude staff and long wait times. Unless you are brought in a ambulance with a critical injury that is the only way they will actually take of you. So basically you better come in a ambulance or your ass will be waiting in the ER for hours!

Hospitals need a whole lot more cameras than just at the entrance. This is like having a camera at the entrance of a store but no throughout the store.... As an X-nurse I can say for sure, it is in my very strong opinion that Cameras are needed in hospitals in order to protect patients!

What a bunch of idiots! I can't believe people would just ignore that... I would never just leave someone on the floor like that. Even if I was waiting there I would at least go try and help her or get a nurses attention... If someone had actually helped this woman she may have lived... Some people are discussing. I hope if that ever happens to me someone will be nice enough to help me.

Now, I don't know the whole story but I have had many psych patients who are throwing themselves on the floor every 5 minutes just for attention! And when I have other patients to attend to (I am usually busy as Hell) I can't rush over and check vital signs AND get orders for an EKG every damn time.

I have also had patients who had normal vital signs seconds up until they suddenly died.

Since she went from WALKING to 'dead' as they say in a few seconds, nothing could be done anyhow?
