This is a much better spokesman than Dirty Jobs Guy. He started out great; it seemed like a regular American joe was the perfect spokesman for a proud American car company. But after a while I (and other viewers too, I'm sure) started to associate him more with Ford than with his Discovery Channel work and he seemed like his true self was the pitchman and all the blue collar stuff on tv had been the act. At least a puppet can't be existentially corrupted like that.

Actually, compared to most of the competition, Ford is one of the minority of automakers which have done major improvements to their compact car. Another good examples are also the Chevy Cruze and Hyundai Elantra. The rest haven´t dramatically improved their compact cars at all.
