  • good points and good speech, unfortunately the economic system depends upon growth to sustain its self, and for this reason alone its collapse is inevitable. When every dollar in existence is owed back with interest, where does the money come from to pay the interest? They have to print more money! which then has more interest. Its for this reason unsustainable growth and consumption is encouraged by traditional government. A resourced based economy is the only solution. I hope you can help :)

  • Come on Green Party. you are my political preference but you HAVE to allow people to speak here regarless of it's view. Otherwise you are shooting yourself in the foot. HarrisMorgan9 must be able to speak. Do not hide any comments. I thought the Green Party were tollerant.

  • his comment can be seen

  • hahahahaha! HarrisMorgan9? Are you serious?

  • HarrisMorgan9, you are an ignorant muppet.

  • tedmaulz: you must have your head in the sand! Have you actually read any of the science on this? It is /very/ real! Far from thriving off it, governments have been doing their best to ignore and and deny it for years. They are finally being forced to do something about it against their will.

  • By the way, great speech Sian! Isn't she just the kind of politician that we need to see elected? What a breath of fresh air compared to the old fogies and stuffed shirts in power around here.

  • Governments thrive off scams such as global warming. More regulations and mandates, higher taxes or rationing to curb energy consumption, all give more power to governments at the expense of individuals.
