crosby is 4 months younger than me...i played hockey for 12 years...i was a goaltender...and i must say....the kid is fucking amazing! plays great two-way hockey, backchecks, posts in front of the net...and if tough enough to not back down from a big hit or a little chippy play...ovechkin is good, but one dimensional...

Ovechkin is pretty good, but he is taller and older than crosby, this video was made in his first and second year in NHL , look him in 2-3 year. Im not sure that ovechkin have the crosby potential

Alexander ovechkin is the most exciting, talented, and has the best ability to score goals then any other player in the NHL. Crosby's good, but i think Alex the great is just that much better.

mkleg your first sentence says it all. Do you think Gretzky was a natural goal scorer. No, he was a great playmaker and a very smart player who knew where to be and what to do. Just like Crosby. And when you take 400 shots a season your bound to score 60+ goals a season. Oh did I mention that Ovie has 47 assist and Crosby has 48 and he missed 29 games. Just think if he didn't miss those games. He would be looking at around 120 (45g/75a) points this season. And it's only his 3rd season.

You know Gretzky scored 92 goals one season? And 50 in 38 games? He was as good a goal scorer that ever played - I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure he had the best shot of anyone when he played
As for Ovechkin and Crosby, Ovechkin is awesome, Crosby is awesome - Crosby seems to bring more creativity and overall game, Ovechkin just seems to get on the ice and be so determined to score a goal, that he does

Ovechkin is great, of course. Crosby is awesome, of crouse. They're both good, of course. But Crosby is the best of all the NHL! He played his junior hockey near my town and people who hate crosby are just jeaslous of his succes. Now that Ovechkin won Hart-Art Ross- Maurice Richard, they think he is better then Sid The Kid. I dont hink so! The 87 has been injured for over 20 games, and was the first whit the Pts in the league. Whitout his injurie, he, for sure, have won Hart and Art ross.

I don't know what it is about Sidney but I don't like him. Maybe we are just jealous of his fame but hearing Grapes gripe about him makes me think I'm not totally wrong. Most of the problem is his age. It's just dumb to make him captain of the team.
