did not gather the denoument(sp?), as in---what actually happens? liked art direction, shots, look, lighting, makeup...and the acting was ok(not sure of his intentions, so not sure of his success): and no, bad acting[not applicable to a silent like this anyhow], is NOT a director's fault...though a good one will improve actor's performances.... the jungle when he searches the cabinet is BANGIN---whoz trak? g.
Your choices were great in a lot of the stuff, but most importantly, the story and acting weren't quite there. The actor wasn't a bad actor, its just that you didn't get what you needed from him to get the point across. You have to get a solid performance from your actors, and remember its never a bad actor, its a bad director. You did good and I like this piece to a certain degree, I just feel you need to concentrate more on certain areas of directing. But, still I'm a fan.
