Great memories. was one of my fave nes games back in the day, fun 2 player games where you can choose weapons, Contra series as well. we spend alot of time facing the tv!

They should remake this game for the wii, ps3, and 360 but the right ppl would have to remake it not just any old low budget group. With two player adventure mode this game could be one of best action/adventure games in recent years if done right.

I've bought it for Xmas this year. It's like 5$ on ebay. I've never played it as a kid. It was a really fun play I had with my friend, we were laughing out loud because of all the transformations powers and glitchy controls. ^^ Really a good time ! :D

i wonder why people think a side skrolling game featuring a ninja is a ninja gaiden rip-off when legend of kage, strider, and wrath of the black manta established the genre around the same time or even be4 ninja gaiden

I always wondered how they put different music in every level. Anyway, this game isn't even that hard. Bucky 'O Hare is much harder than this. But this game is harder than Kirby's Adventure.

Crappy, but also easier. I mean, christ, Ninja Gaiden has those dogs that run after you and all the AI...it's a wonder I never just played this game for a false sense of accomplishment.

Take a look at Silkworm, the NES and C64 ports. Without Sammy, we wouldn't have Silkworm for the NES or Guilty Gear X. Also, you jump normal like in early video games and your weapon goes faster than Ryu's. No climbing on walls either.
