Wait wait wait... First Beretta makes one hell of a gun. But did you REALLY JUST DO THAT WITH A ROUND CHAMBERED? The second time you went back I couldn't tell if you even decocked it. Still impressive.
@spartanscombativesgrp. Your one of those goofs that think the 1911 is the best and only gun out there. The beretta is most definitely not a piece of shit ya jerkoff. Go preach on a forum where people give a shit about your opinion. Good day to ya
Im a firearm enthusiast so i dont "Fan boy" it up but i love my glock because ive had no problems with it and it feels nice in my big bear paws and personally i like the look but i have nothing bad to say about any of the "quality" manufacturers S@w,H@k Glock Beretta they all have their ups and downs but dont hate something just because you feel its over rated by "Fan boy" hype
@GoldenRing1989 That is the idiots who read too many gun magazines lol. I have been on many contracts and seen Glocks fail with double feeds, extractor problems, and stove pipes even on defense ammo. Many of them have been sent back. To be honest I have never seen a semi-auto that hasn't had a one of the above conditions. I got my M&P to misfeed after about 3000 rounds last year. Many of the fanboy's buy guns and they sit in their closet for years.
Nice demonstration. Everyone here says "I'd never do that to mine." Its not that your going to, it's that should for any reason you needed to you could. If you drop it it hits water it's gonna be ok, and where I'm from there's alot of that in the backwoods.
@SocialNetworkWhore Yeah its really kind of pointless other than entertainment value. The Beretta 92f was tortured test with the Army in the late 70's and adopted around 1982 if I remember right. I have also used on in the Air Force when I was security forces. It was rust after about 13 hours of standing in the rain but it would still work great on the range and I don't remember it failing.
i wouldn`t do that to my 96 elite because, well;it` a fine italian hand gun(made in u.s.a.)!i would just feel bad unless i had to!thanks for showing those cock lovers that it holds it`s own!oh!i meant glock!ha!
@GoldenRing1989 I choose the M92fs, but I agree, I feel like everyone likes glocks because everyone else likes glocks. They are bulky, unsafe, and awkward in the hand.
@3mealsaday I'm not a Glock fan but besides the fanboys reading magazines, jumping on the band wagon. The Glock has tons of accessories/holsters available, and its also a very simple design IE no manual safety and weird indicators. A safety is not replacement for indexing and it will get you killed, indicators? If someone needs this to tell if the gun is loaded maybe they don't need to have a firearm lol. Other than that the Glock compares to all modern semi-auto's.
i need a side arm for hunting and self defense. and i need something with great accuracy. so im trying to decide on the beretta 96 or the glock 31. ive seen the videos on jams about glocks which is making the gun less interesting to me but what do you think that i should get. any advice helps a lot
@ThroatSlitta Accuracy is just fine with the Glock. I score in the 240's on my Fed test every year with the Glock 22. Some of the FBI statistics I have seen for gunfights is 4-12 feet. I can fire accurately out to 75 feet with a Glock.
@GoldenRing1989 that is true with a lot of shooters and is a reason why people go with the 96 i went with the sig sauer even though its the most expensive of the three
question..i also jus watched your ar water test.. my question is how thorough do u clean that after? I really only know how to field strip my rifle/pistols. i assume with everything being soaked through you need to dry off and clean EVERY single part?
@ahesse1488 Good question. Usually after I do something like that with my AR, I fill a bathhtub with the hottest water as possible and soak and scrub the whole thing, less the BCG, bolt, and upper and lower reciever apart. The hot water just evaporates of the rifle. The rest I get with a can of compressed air, and the regular cleaning; anything prone to rust get's extra oil. Compressed air and the normal cleaning is all you need with a handgun.
@fireball676 I think the power of the 96 forces the action and the 92 is to large of a pistol for the 9mm to work or something. I seen another guys vid and the 92 was crap after the dunk in the muddy water. I got faith in my 96. I keep her clean and she has yet to jam on me.
@MrPhilyslym good point.....i like .40 and .45, they run like champs in all guns normally and if anything is in the breech, the recoil clears it out...
@fireball676 The 92 and 96 are mechanically exactly the same. There is no reason why the 92 would fail where the 96 does not. The "other video" everyone is so enamored about means nothing. So one guy with one Beretta gets his to jam when he throws it in a lake, and suddenly ALL Beretta 92s jam under these conditions? Give me a break!
@CoreitoTheGreat When I have time, I'll shoot another video testing my Beretta, so we can settle the reliability issues. The water that he uses looks much worse than what I used.
@unclereko I have faith that your Beretta will be fine. There are a lot of factors that effect reliability under these conditions. I would love to know how much, if any, lube the other guy had on his and what kind of ammo he was using. Heavier bullets, like your 40, would give the slide more energy to overcome any gunk that got in the action. I would like to see a test like this with 92 using 124gr +P ammo like what the military uses.
@CoreitoTheGreat yea i can agree with that...im indifferent about the pistol....honestly...i love the 1911...but they would have had to upgrade to a para p14 type pistol to pass the trials and keep the .45....could have gone with a glock 21....i find it strange that we beat the shit out of germany and adopt their pistol round but not their rifle round...i like the rifle round...the 9mm is good, but given the fact that we cant use jhp bullets, i would have stayed with something in .45, or .40
@fireball676 I honestly wouldnt trust any FMJ pistol round to stop someone unless you hit a vital organ. I've seen medical reports where people have survived multiple hits with 45cal FMJ. With pistols, shot placement is more important than caliber. In that case, the vast majority of people become proficient with 9mm more quickly and easily. I think the pistol should be replaced with a compact, shoulder fired carbine for all roles except as a secondary weapon.
@CoreitoTheGreat the thing about fmj is that it wounds instead of killing a lot of times....but that strategy isnt effective against guys who are willing to blow themselves up to make a point.....people will survive anything....ive heard of guys getting shot 7 to 8 times by a 7.62x39 and making it out just fine....the worst wounds are the .22 rounds like the 5.56 and 5.45....the long rounds tumble when they hit soft flesh and create a messy wound versus the in and out of the 7.62...
@CoreitoTheGreat If it's the same video i saw... that ONE guy doesn't even show you that the gun fired correctly and without any issues before he throws it in the water. It's not a very reliable video, but the Beretta is a very reliable gun.
what? good enough?...bury that shit in some mud with the slide back...of course swishin it in some dirty water for a couple of seconds doesnt effect that thing
@usafhydro Or lets run a tractor over it maan lets do some really shitty things do it maaan and, and, let's run a bus over and then see if it's going to fire maaan.
Thanks! They demand wasn't huge for a full size .40 alloy frame; most of that market has been taken up by less expensive polymer frames. I however LOVE my Beretta, and I got a killer deal on it ;)
