@TeckelNono That's a rumour that spread last year in Belgium, but this will never happen. They are already doing the renovations for some time now and nothing has changed in their sale strategy. I don't think they need much more money btw, because they brew 60.000 crates a year, times an average price of € 34/crate = 2 million euro turnover a year :P More than enough to sustain their monastery ;)
Either case, I just ordered my 2 crates of WestVleteren 8 and will pick them up this week :D
@blaaat1 We also found out at our last visit that the renovation is almost completed. maybe it is better this way. I wish you all the best with your 2 crates of nr. 8.
@TeckelNono well, as of this week, colruyt, one of belgium's famous supermarket, has been distributing a specially made box of westvleteren containing 6 bottles and 2 glasses at the price of 25 euros to support the refurbishment of the monastry. it seems however, to be a one-time thing only.
Geraldp18, ik kan niet rechtstreeks naar je antwoorden, dus daarom maar zo: we hebben met 2 telefoons tegelijkertijd gebeld, mobiel en thuis gedurende de hele tijd die ervoor stond en pas de 2e dag kwamen we door.
vanmorgen op een half uur binnen met 1 gsm. (enkele weken geleden duurde het wel 3 uur met 2 gsm's)
volgende week mag ik de 2 bakken 12 gaan halen. de kelder geraakt vol.
