Don't get too excited, while a representative is stating this it's still not official, he could have been just stumbling over words. There was a good chance that Luigi might be in it as a move swap from marios with some of his touch but since there is nothing official, don't hold yoru breath.

Luigi is going to be on the game, it is the brother of Mario and one of the most important characters of Nintendo and is secret in SSB and SSBM. Ganon is goint to be again BUT with new atacks (no more c.falcon atacks) Sakurai said that. like you said, Lucas wa ment to be in melee with Ness. AND Falco is one of fans favorite characters.
