It's called dermatillomania, or skin-picking disorder. It's like hair-plucking or nail-biting. It's a kind of OCD.

I'll try to describe it the best I can: you touch your skin and it's all soft and then you hit a crusty scab. It doesn't go with the rest of your skin, so you must get rid of it. It's so satisfying to pull it off and look at your work.

Ditto for peeling sunburns. You wanna see how much you can peel before it breaks.
