  • @rborsibor Thanks for your comment. If you follow a planets birth as active and a slow decline in activity (mainstream belief) it is unlikely. But if you consider a planets slow growth, it would be inactive in its infancy and become more active as the mass grows. Just something to consider.

  • @simplyskyla You are welcome, found it fascinating. One suggestion from the Naked Scientists website is that its caused by pixelation due to digital zoom. another that it could be the light playing on a crater surface.
