Interesting video and viewpoint from professor Simard. There's some interesting material about the fungal connections (mycorrhizal root associations) over at TED talks. re: Paul Stamets. There's certainly a lot more science to be done so let's protect what old-growth forest we have left.
Subsequent research has shown that this "communication" does not really happen:
"We conclude that carbon flow in the AM symbiosis is normally unidirectional from plant to fungus and that while carbon is translocated by the fungus from one metabolically active root system to another, it remains within the intraradical mycelium (IRM)"
@bleutuber If you are going to site research, could you please at least include a link to it, or some sort of reference so that others could look up your source?
I am happy to learn that this has now been proven. The Trees have told us that they gain access to information through their network of roots. The older the tree is the deeper their roots are. They are the Living Libraries of the earth and you can ask them any question and you'll get an answer instantaneously. Read 'Tree Talk' by Dianne Robbins. I have great respect for those who spend their time to educate people on the true nature of trees.
Yes ..yes..yes...she is talking about what I already knew in the deep recess of my Being...<3

This is simply more evidence showing us that all of life is inter-connected. We are all one life...not separate energies, but communal and unified.

I cannot post a link here. I get an error message. All you need to do is go to google and search this:
fungus does not transfer wiley
Look. It was a nice idea, but nice ideas don't always pan out. Let's see more thorough research from Simard
