Just posted a cover of this song too, and noticed that I think we have almost the same guitar! Taylor 614CE ? I didn't tune the bottom strings like you did and played the chorus chords as regular Dm, C, and G...Not how Chris does it, but it was much easier to play...;)
how the heck did you tune the B string into C? thats so hard. and on the tab, the tuning says EADGCD but you put it as EADGCG? which one is it? nice playing by the way. the best one i've seen. :) thank you.
I use a capo on the first fret and the EADGCG tuning sounds best, different from the tab. I tune the B up to a C... it"s tight, but it's only a full step, it will go : )

For the High E if I go down to G I need to go 4 steps and a half which it makes it sound very low. Do I have to go up one tone and a half higher to get G?

My bastard string snapped and nearly took my frickin eye out and slashed my hand, sounds great now with just the 5 stings. LOL
