I love Bologna. Pronounced Boloney. I grew up eating this. Me and my sister used to put it on crackers and pretend we having hors d'oeuvres. We did not have much money so this was a cheap affordable meal. I mean you can get a pack of bologna for a dollar and a loaf of Krogers bread for a dollar. We used to make Kool-aid and grap a couple of bags of potatoe chip and boy o boy.

Although I'm from Texas, I found a cafe in a small town near Marion OH that serves burgers and fried bologna sandwiches. I don't think it is a north-south deal. It is more us people that were raised poor know bologna was a common meal and the rich city folks may have never known this meat delight.  And, I think it orginally came from German immigrants, much like sausage.

i didnt know that people DIDNT know what bologna was. i guess if you go too far north you lose track of good meat like bologna, chicken livers, and gizzards.

Try this ... put it right on the kitchen stove burner... no pan, not necessary... flip it like a tortilla , warm both sides... ... wrap it in a warm flour tortilla just dip it in some salsa while eating ... You'll want two of um ... I promise. Think I'll go the store right now... Thanks Alan...
