Evangelion Retake "Animated" Offical Trailer

Re-take will never be animated. Gainax wasn't involved with it, that's why it's a doujinshi and not a spin off like Angelic Days or Shinji Ikari Raising Project. It'll never be animated unfortunately. It's even better then The End of Evangelion.

@WetnwildhjReturns That's the sad thing. Retake is good enough to stand along the orginal story of Evangelion. But because it Gainax had zero involment in it we'll never get the privlege to see it on the big screen. Because even if the person who created Retake was able to animate his Doujinshi couldnt he be sued for copywrite as the characters aren't his? Or something like that.

@MrSupersonic2012 True, but Japan has different copyright laws than America, and even if they were allowed to animate it, I don't think they could afford it without Gainax's help. Also, the company who made Re-take went out of business, I think. The company's name was "Kimigabuchi" and they made a lot of doujinshis.

I want this to be made into an anime so badly. I feel the depth of the manga down to my very core and understand what it's like to loose someone. And wish I could go back an change it. Re-Take is my favorite manga and is truly sad and only a statue cannot cry at least twice through reading it.

I've ended this morining reading Re-take (still i have to read the "after" chapter) and i'm glad to see that someone's trying to animate it. I mean, it's a fantastic sequel and ending for evangelion... i hope Gainax notices this... for me, Re-take is the perfect original EVA ending.

At the end you hear Asuka asking Shinji to promise not to love anyone else but her for the rest of his life. The voice-actress for her is perfect!

Just wondering, will this differ from the re-take doujinshi in any way?

this is my vertion involving both the original retake and all ages. I jave removed 99% of the hentai and now there is less than what is in eva itself. Its a more friendly vertion of retake not wrecking the story but adding little parts. Everthing is mostly the same as the dojinshi, (also where short on 3 cast members all major roles Rei, Ritsuko and Mya).

I take it you have never read retake. Asuka said it to Shinji. Retake makes a very passable end to EOE a grate read for any EVA fan

Wow it looks kind of awesome.But it would be cool if Rina-Chan was voicing Asuka.not that I have anything against SailorStardust but I belive Rina-chan gives Asuka more emotion.
