There are circumstances where women needs to drive like on situation where there's no more men to take her to the hospital, i.e, hers or her childrens life might be in danger. Also, there are some lazy husbands and adult sons who may not be so happy enough to take her on an important events. These are just two good examples why women must be allowed to drive. Treating them like princesses are okay but in situations like these, i don't think that princess-effect wil do any help to her.

@SuperUncleruckus A lot of women do have drivers, but there are also a lot of women who can't afford drivers or whose drivers aren't always available. There are also cases where women have had their drivers behave very inappropriately toward them. Many Saudi women say that if they could drive, they would certainly get jobs and either learn a trade or help their families gain more wealth.

this is wrong way to go about rectifying the unjust driving ban. driving a car does not expose a woman, and in the prophetic sunnah women were recorded riding animals openly which exposes her much more than a car. but i completely disagree with this manner of opposing the ban. i think to gather the women and their families and petition the king will probably guarantee a change, this stuff on the web is pointless and susceptible to being hijacked by those with other agendas against saudi arabia

@LeylaAlJamila Women in Saudi Arabia have limited rights and capabilities, the religious folk have already forbid most of life's necessary rights and resources to women, Islam never did mention that female individuals must be treated like useless slaves, thus i believe they have a perfectly sane reason to protest against the current situation in Saudi Arabia.

I support women's right to drive but this is playing into the hands of the enemies of the kingdom. The issue should be resolved internally, not on YouTube or the internet.

@abdelqadir I agree with you, but I think their target audience is encouragement for other saudi women to take action, and the internet is the fastest and most practical means for doing this.
