Well according to the bible description god is the bad guy and the devil is the good one except that they try so desperately to pass the opposite. For those who have read the bible. The movie says nothing new and doesn't change anything. Either god is an evil bastard OR the bible is absolutely and 100% wrong. It was created in order to put rules in people's lives and for the religious leaders to control them, not to show the truth about any supernatural being.

Al Pacino should definitely play the title role in a Nicolas Sarkozy biopic. No one else could be restless and twitchy enough.

I prefer him when he's more sober, like in the first two Godfather movies (in GF2 he was much more scary than here, with little screaming and a calm face ; and the Devil is more disturbing in The Brothers Karamazov). That was long ago. Now he's constantly over-the-topping his over-the-topness.

By giving us free will he wants to see if we follow his rules and remain obedient to him despite the fact that our instincts tell us otherwise. Satan/Lucifer on the other hand wants to convince us that God is this mean old man just laughing at us and enjoys watching us suffer, when it is in fact Satan who hates us and wants to lead us astray

These outcomes can be reached based on one decision in our life affecting the rest of it. Have you ever played the game Chrono Trigger? There is an estimated 12-15 possible endings in that game. You the person can figure out what these endings are by reading up on them but you still have to play the game 12-15 different ways to get a particular ending
