I don't really understand the argument. I graduated with a bachelor's in music education and I think this band is simply phenomenal. @teethofghosts How can you make troll references and still try to make a point? WolvesofTimberline has a degree to prove that they know more about music than any casual listener, and especially you, a troll that thinks university degrees don't prove anything and can be ignored.
i couldnt help but to reply to this. i completely agree with you. and dont take this the wrong way but there should be no need to have a degree in music education to recognize good music. although some people might need it. i certainly dont have one but can truely appreciate this piece and many others. and your simplified definition of what makes good music....i couldnt have put it better myself.
@caifanes1123 Thank you. I don't think you need a degree to recognize good music because all in all it is still preference, although it helps to understand it, some people just prefer to seek further understanding of how to create music as well as its' history. I did not write that to insult anyone or boast but simply to reply to other arguments that were bashing on music majors that were supposedly ripping on this. I didn't get a degree to argue. I got a degree in hopes of becoming a teacher.
@WolvesofTimberline music is music as pleasure is pleasure... our ears are all tuned differently. I am dyspraxic and dyslexic so could never really write music down on paper, I find tablature challenging... But I write music from and by what I feel... And it ain't that bad. This is a wonderful song.
I..cried last night hearing this song..it made me remeber the pain i had before when my first love never loved me back.. i literally heard it all night. But now that i hear it, it reminds me of the happy times i had with her as friends nothing more..this song is beautiful and i can't get it out of my head. This is a great piece of art in the form of music and melodies.
I'm not a fan of rap. I think it's slowly killing America and its culture. Yet, if that's how they can produce their feelings, so be it. Music is an outlet. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't like it? Don't listen to it. Just respect it no matter who you are or what it is.
@Greendaygurl12eh I know what you mean..but im sure your thinking of the rap (if you can even call that stuff rap) on the radio. the REAL hiphop is underground my friend. There are guys who are rapping about the opposite stuff you hear on the radio, like wisdom and peace. If you have the time please check out Sanctuary by Nomak and Life Is A Struggle by Electric...I'm sure you see a major difference from the trash on the radio and REAL hiphop, anyways thanks
part of knowing how to make really good music is knowing that you shouldn't over-do it. just play by feeling. knowing theory and all that stuff helps and allows you to express yourself in more creative ways, but if you're writing stuff that sounds lifeless then it doesn't matter how musically smart you are.
I like this music. I don't care if it's "genius" or how much skill it takes to write or play. I think it sounds good, and I enjoy listening to it. I believe that's the only reason anyone should listen to music.
Chill out guys! Since when do you have to have some qualification appreciate music? Why should anyone have to back up their statement with examples if they say a song is good? Music is for enjoying. Music is in the ear of the listener.
And what I said about beauty, opinion, feelings, ect...guess what? I'm almost a PhD (matter of time) in Philosophy. So yeah...I know what I'm talking about in that field as well. I don't want to sound pretentious, but you have to understand that you're not the only (or most) culturated person here...
Alright, I'm getting sick of coming to this comment section. BTW ur music reminds me of M.S band music ha.
This is pretty good music for waterboarding deceased black panthers at the negro cemetary. To find out how to control today's negro and the amount of traitorism the dead ones actually did. So why isn't that the greatest idea for putting this to video? NAACP. Digging up dead negros and this song are equally boring. I drink 2 12packs a day. Smoke 3 packs of cigarettes. This tune is not about drama. Its about entering the LSD Peak as a christian (which I do)

Greendaygurl12eh 1 year ago
@Greendaygurl12eh I know what you mean..but im sure your thinking of the rap (if you can even call that stuff rap) on the radio. the REAL hiphop is underground my friend. There are guys who are rapping about the opposite stuff you hear on the radio, like wisdom and peace. If you have the time please check out Sanctuary by Nomak and Life Is A Struggle by Electric...I'm sure you see a major difference from the trash on the radio and REAL hiphop, anyways thanks

@SamuraiBlade2247 so agree with you, I say that as well sometimes on youtube. MF Doom nd the like, you're a smart one
Mikespyke 1 year ago
@Mikespyke lol thanks and yeah i love mf doom..especially the music he made as Madvillain :D
SamuraiBlade2247 1 year ago
part of knowing how to make really good music is knowing that you shouldn't over-do it. just play by feeling. knowing theory and all that stuff helps and allows you to express yourself in more creative ways, but if you're writing stuff that sounds lifeless then it doesn't matter how musically smart you are.

I like this music. I don't care if it's "genius" or how much skill it takes to write or play. I think it sounds good, and I enjoy listening to it. I believe that's the only reason anyone should listen to music.

@SkaBones5 I see where you're coming from, but I sure as hell hope you don't like Justin Bieber.
Onimyst 1 year ago
@SkaBones5
far as skill
shit it may not be technical but
after it picks up it can be hard to keep it consistent
but i agree, who cares how hard it is
music is about composure rhythm and emotion
not difficulty.
and this sounds well put together
it's soo tranquil idk what's not to like
axceion 11 months ago
@SkaBones5
true, not to say this still is extremely layered and complexly writen. But yes, if it sounds good it is good.

I've been on and off on this thing for over a fucking month because everytime I'm finished with one loser, another one takes his place and says the same fucking shit. I'm tired of repeating myself. 95% chance the next post someone makes that is directed towards me has been countered in one of my 30-40 posts in this comment section by now. I'm sick of this shit, I'm sick of talking to ignorant people, and I'm not responding anymore. Bye

@JrvUnleashedMusic dude, after reading all of that, you look like a fucking asshole. sorry, but yeah. guitarpro 5 is not a legit way to produce music, man. i use it too, and i've even shown friends songs, but if you think it's a good way of producing music you're a fucktard.

Arvo Part - "[There's] a need to concentrate each sound so that a blade of grass would be important as a flower" He was talking about his piece Fur Alina check it.
