  • Lol, has anyone ever noticed at 0:06 the man saying "guitar"? So weird, never been sure if it was a mistake.

  • @edwardherbert that's right,on their "you are there" album on the last track you can also hear them talk real quiet. But hey man, this is just a great band....

  • damn, Mono is sick.

    HARHAR

  • @EctInc I would choose the word "honest" instead. To me,the absence of words colaborates perfectly with the truth of this song.Notes are the words I would never find to express my feelings.

  • wwwwowww

  • Very calming and soothing melodies : ) I could listen to this all day...

  • This song made me cry.

The work put into this music is incredible.

For once in my life, i feel complete. <3

  • I listened to this as well as some boris albums while nodding hard on opana....fucking GOD TIER 4 HOURS

  • like if you're stoned as

  • Simply amazing.

  • noodling hipster bollocks

  • @gogocartoons go back to the troll hole troll. it may be bollocks to you in your "im obviously correct" realm of mind, but there are alot of people who really appreciate this music. it is in no way bollocks. so fuck right off.

  • @ziltoid1014 Just expressing my opinion - there is no correct and incorrect when it comes to opinions. I stand by this opinion that it is in many ways bollocks. Good for you that you enjoy this introverted tuneless crap.

  • @gogocartoons expressing your opinion, but insulting something just because don't like you, then don't expect respect

  • @jhaam18 Don't expect me to re-order your sentences so that they make sense.

  • @gogocartoons there are no correct or incorrect opinions, everyone thinks their way, but you need to be respectful

  • @gogocartoons perhaps you could be a bit more articulate and unoffensive the next time you express your opinion. what you're doing is being arrogant.

  • @gogocartoons i'm not hipster... you should just open your mind and pay attention to the sound and music

  • check out Nyctalgia u guys will love em if u like MONO

  • did he REALLY just scream ONE NOTE for FOUR mInuteZZ! wtffff BOSSS

  • one of my favorite post rock tracks

  • The build, the crescendo, it's so beautiful.. it's almost too much to take... My hat is off to this group, because they've composed more beautiful than a lot of classical music I've ever heard. This is simply beautiful.

  • i saw them yesterday night, live, in romania!!! the feeling was ORGASMIC, all that devine music invading your body, overwhelming and mesmerizing.i was like an ocean of music, spreading all over your mind and soul! an amazing eperience!!!!

  • @ralukitzuk sunt concerte de post metal in romania? pffff.... i have to keep myself updated with such events.

  • seeing them day after tomorrow in Manchester, good times!

  • seeing these guys tomorow night can't wait

  • @djentagogo Me too! Brighton.

  • This is so amazing. If you are a big mono fan you will love Gabriel Williams aphephobic lovers

  • God I wanna see em live again... Best performance I've ever seen (though I did miss Godspeed, sadly). This song alone got me through mental hell at the time.

  • Breathtaking

  • Phenomenal...

  • epic

  • I never thought that I'd ever enjoy a piece of music like this...but here I am, taken away by it to places that chuggs and sweeping failed to provide a ticket for. Not to say that such tricks are completly inept of the ability to transport the listener, for I've heard many heavy songs that journey about; but nothing like this. I'm in love.

  • A fucking good effort, lovely stuff!

  • I'm double majoring in music composition and performance, and I think this is fabulous :p But like others have said, anyone has the ability to enjoy music that suites their tastes. If you don't respect their opinion, than you're being closed minded.

  • Cool

  • watch (high dependency unit - masd)

  • All In this music, I just hear emotion. The cellos, the guitars, they weave such a story. Accept it. Not as a literal critique, but as a story which is shared and appreciated, regardless of structure.

  • This gives life meaning.

  • This song, was there for me during some of my darkest moments, pulling me out of the unknown, and was the lullabye to my rebirth. Amazing artists, musicians, and imaginaries! Cheers Mono!

    and screw all the beef!

There's a new upcoming band: The Sound of Perception

They capture the aesthetic of of time, like Mono, or Explosions, but with the 90's Clinton Good time wibe twist! Good sounds!

  • duh, dunno why I even bother to read comments. Damn you hipsters. Why don't you just listen to music?

Art is above everything, don't use it to make yourselves look "higher". D:<

    Mono <3

  • @EmpressOfTheDark777 There are no hipsters. Only idiots.

  • lol wtf this incredible

  • I've just left my father in the coroner ICU... I've to sleep tonight and I hope Mono'll make me calm... feels like rehab! just hope...

  • this is beatiful

if you like mono you might like

" gabriel williams - scars in a sea of red "

  • Oh wow.

  • very deep thing...i like this music,its m crush ;)

i wish this album would be solled somewhere near me :))

  • This song has a really great feeling! Great tones, it's a masterpeace..

  • It's instrumental shoegaze?

  • How can you DISLIKE this? <3333 This is my absolute favorite Mono song. It's soooo good. I would listen to this in between classes at the college. I had a half hour to spare so I would sit there and get lost in this.

  • AMAZING YEAH

  • instrumental music make me fell <3

  • modern day mozart / beethoven

  • @BucKt0 Ive been thinking the same.

  • seen them in the studio in glasgow few years back, great live, great music, the only way to describe this music is modern classical, whatever it is i love it.

  • 14 people are so emotionless

  • great song! I recommend searching for "a month's lifetime" on youtube. :)

  • love the song but i wish it was in better quality.

  • @allenthomas24 cool story bro

  • The singer of this band is fucking AMAZING. :-)

  • @EveryoneCallsMeChris ahhmmm what??? are u crazy? what singer??? ppffff

  • @Itzelmusic I was joking. LoL.

  • Being emotionally moved by music such as this is the greatest experience in my life, and for me it happens every day.

  • Comment removed

  • man, I wouldn't want to go to music school if it actually RUINED my enjoyment of music.

  • @Ombrenuit Learning and understanding music doesn't necessarily destroy your appreciation for it. It just kind of demystifies what's going on behind those instruments. So, when you hear a really complex drum breakdown, or a really cool guitar solo that catches your ear, you can think "Oh, I see how he's doing that." instead of having no conception of what's being played and just believing your favorite musicians are witches or something. XD

  • @ihasmario The minute you start measuring music objectively, well... that's when you've lost all sense of what music is really about. There's not such thing as a "good" or "bad" genre. It's all subjectivism in the end and what speaks to you sonically, emotionally, nostalgically, etc. etc.

  • I don't really understand the argument. I graduated with a bachelor's in music education and I think this band is simply phenomenal. People who start arguments are just looking for attention and to feel better about the amount of music knowledge they are attempting to attain but when it really comes down to it what makes true music is just as much the feeling behind it as much as the musical proficiency. Just because something is simple doesn't necessarily make it less valuable.

  • @WolvesofTimberline i absolutely agree 100%. nice job getting the bachelors as well!

  • @Physc0o Thanks!

  • @WolvesofTimberline no worries :D it makes me really happy to see that there are some decent people on youtube that you can have a conversation with without fighting or disagreeing.

  • @WolvesofTimberline I dont really understand too dude^ and I dont have too understand=)

  • @WolvesofTimberline Ugh, I hate when shitheads go, "OH WELL I GRADUATED DERP DERP MUSIC THEORY CLASS SO MY OPINION OF MUSIC IS MORE VALID THAN YOURS." I've seen legitimate graduates of Music Theory use that excuse to validate their love of bands like Nickelback and Linkin Park. It doesn't make you know more about music, just more of a pretentious douche.

  • doesn't teach you anything. Well, sir if anyone is a shithead it's you for the fact that you're some clearly uneducated prick. Add some validity to your opinion with some credentials and I'll respect your opinion. Until then go troll somewhere else.

  • @teethofghosts @teethofghosts You're a moron. If you actually read the statement I made you would notice that I'm not creating an argument for the musical proficiency and virtuosity of this band but more for the meaning behind this which isn't me being a douche at all. Regardless you must be a total and complete idiot to say that someone who gets a bachelor's in music education has no more knowledge about music than the average person. I guess all the theory, history, and performance, and study

  • @WolvesofTimberline HURRR I KNOW WHAT A TIME SIGNATURE IS SO THAT MEANS ANY BAND I LIKE MUST HAVE VALIDATED GREATNESS!11!11

Oh, calling me idiot certainly makes for a good argument. Then again, I wouldn't know. I couldn't ever hope to know as much as someone who graduated in MUSIC THEORY, which is such a useful degree. Congrats on that anyway.

  • @teethofghosts How can you make troll references and still try to make a point? They cancel any real point you might be making (which you aren't) out, and leave a feeling of "pretentious douche" behind hollow words. What you say means nothing, and your argument is fallacious. WolvesofTimberline has a degree to prove that they know more about music than any casual listener, and especially you, a troll that thinks university degrees don't prove anything and can be ignored.

  • @WolvesofTimberline

i couldnt help but to reply to this. i completely agree with you. and dont take this the wrong way but there should be no need to have a degree in music education to recognize good music. although some people might need it. i certainly dont have one but can truely appreciate this piece and many others. and your simplified definition of what makes good music....i couldnt have put it better myself.

  • @caifanes1123 Thank you. I don't think you need a degree to recognize good music because all in all it is still preference, although it helps to understand it, some people just prefer to seek further understanding of how to create music as well as its' history. I did not write that to insult anyone or boast but simply to reply to other arguments that were bashing on music majors that were supposedly ripping on this. I didn't get a degree to argue. I got a degree in hopes of becoming a teacher.

  • @WolvesofTimberline music is music as pleasure is pleasure... our ears are all tuned differently. I am dyspraxic and dyslexic so could never really write music down on paper, I find tablature challenging... But I write music from and by what I feel... And it ain't that bad. This is a wonderful song.

  • @WolvesofTimberline we knew martin when he first started playing, hes a genius and brilliant musician, and this proves it .....

  • @WolvesofTimberline "Just because something is simple doesn't necessarily make it less valuable." Great quote :)

  • @WolvesofTimberline uh yea, shut it faggot go listen to real music

  • @GloriousBrilliance Please enlighten and tell me what would call "real music" I'm dying to know since you think this ain't.

  • @NeonPsychedelicRobot Don't feed the trolls.

  • @MasterlyApprentice trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls, remember that

  • @puddingball troll harder!

  • fuckin brilliant :|

  • i still await the day that i find one song without a fight on it..

  • great song. I recommend searching for "honey jarz" on youtube. :)

  • I..cried last night hearing this song..it made me remeber the pain i had before when my first love never loved me back.. i literally heard it all night. But now that i hear it, it reminds me of the happy times i had with her as friends nothing more..this song is beautiful and i can't get it out of my head. This is a great piece of art in the form of music and melodies.

  • Impresionante!

    Apasionante!

    Brillante!

    Emocionante!

  • urywa jaja, rozrywa dusze, wyrywa serce !

  • I'm not a fan of rap. I think it's slowly killing America and its culture. Yet, if that's how they can produce their feelings, so be it. Music is an outlet. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't like it? Don't listen to it. Just respect it no matter who you are or what it is.

  • @Greendaygurl12eh I know what you mean..but im sure your thinking of the rap (if you can even call that stuff rap) on the radio. the REAL hiphop is underground my friend. There are guys who are rapping about the opposite stuff you hear on the radio, like wisdom and peace. If you have the time please check out Sanctuary by Nomak and Life Is A Struggle by Electric...I'm sure you see a major difference from the trash on the radio and REAL hiphop, anyways thanks

  • @SamuraiBlade2247 so agree with you, I say that as well sometimes on youtube. MF Doom nd the like, you're a smart one

  • @Mikespyke lol thanks and yeah i love mf doom..especially the music he made as Madvillain :D

  • part of knowing how to make really good music is knowing that you shouldn't over-do it. just play by feeling. knowing theory and all that stuff helps and allows you to express yourself in more creative ways, but if you're writing stuff that sounds lifeless then it doesn't matter how musically smart you are.

  • i love MONO :)) wonderfull lifeee

  • i Love MONO :))

  • great song. i recommend searching for "honey jarz" on youtube. :)

  • H U M A N

  • Comment removed

  • it made my heart revive

  • I like this music. I don't care if it's "genius" or how much skill it takes to write or play. I think it sounds good, and I enjoy listening to it. I believe that's the only reason anyone should listen to music.

  • @SkaBones5 I see where you're coming from, but I sure as hell hope you don't like Justin Bieber.

  • @SkaBones5

    far as skill

shit it may not be technical but

after it picks up it can be hard to keep it consistent

but i agree, who cares how hard it is

music is about composure rhythm and emotion

    not difficulty.

and this sounds well put together

it's soo tranquil idk what's not to like

  • @SkaBones5

true, not to say this still is extremely layered and complexly writen. But yes, if it sounds good it is good.

  • @SkaBones5 Amen

  • @SkaBones5 I agree totality to you!!!

  • @SkaBones5 wise person. you shuld be a jounalist

  • @SkaBones5

    Beautifully put.

  • Chill out guys! Since when do you have to have some qualification appreciate music? Why should anyone have to back up their statement with examples if they say a song is good? Music is for enjoying. Music is in the ear of the listener.

  • @VOXboxed You my friend have wrote the most sane comment on this video.

  • If you like mono you might like " Gabriel williams - with a breath of yours "

  • da i svi se raspravljaju ovde bezveze, sviraju kurcu, niko ne slusa muziku upm...

  • @spudow slusa (:

  • great song. I recommend searching for "honey jarz" on youtube. :)

  • And what I said about beauty, opinion, feelings, ect...guess what? I'm almost a PhD (matter of time) in Philosophy. So yeah...I know what I'm talking about in that field as well. I don't want to sound pretentious, but you have to understand that you're not the only (or most) culturated person here...

  • @Raen86 Congratulations on your completely useless PhD.

  • @reinkaos82 Thanks. I'll try to remember your approval when I'll be the HR manager of a big company.

  • Alright, I'm getting sick of coming to this comment section. I've been on and off on this thing for over a fucking month because everytime I'm finished with one loser, another one takes his place and says the same fucking shit. I'm tired of repeating myself. 95% chance the next post someone makes that is directed towards me has been countered in one of my 30-40 posts in this comment section by now. I'm sick of this shit, I'm sick of talking to ignorant people, and I'm not responding anymore. Bye

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic Let us know if your head ever finds its way out of your ass. That might cure the echo that keeps appearing when you post.

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic Said the guy who has Sweet Child O Mine in the favorites

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic i know you've already been told and have responded to many but i just had to tell you... you suck baboon cock

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic dude, after reading all of that, you look like a fucking asshole. sorry, but yeah. guitarpro 5 is not a legit way to produce music, man. i use it too, and i've even shown friends songs, but if you think it's a good way of producing music you're a fucktard.

    grow up man.

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic

Haaha kid u crack me up! =) That was really enjoyable. Too bad u stopped posting funny comments I was really gettin a kick out of them. Just cuz its simple doesnt mean every1 can make it. Arvo Part - "[There's] a need to concentrate each sound so that a blade of grass would be important as a flower" He was talking about his piece Fur Alina check it. BTW ur music reminds me of M.S band music ha.

  • This is pretty good music for waterboarding deceased black panthers at the negro cemetary. To find out how to control today's negro and the amount of traitorism the dead ones actually did. So why isn't that the greatest idea for putting this to video? NAACP. Digging up dead negros and this song are equally boring. I drink 2 12packs a day. Smoke 3 packs of cigarettes. This tune is not about drama. Its about entering the LSD Peak as a christian (which I do)
