got a 4574 cherry red....,from 1966, tatata..ta..taata, and yours sounds, and look like modern chinese sh...t! But don't worry be happy.. you are like 99%, no, 95% western people, especially anglo-saxon wasp, without violence and holy army......just lost in he big blue advertising market! Comon I'm kidding dude!
Hi man, I am looking around for a new amp and I tumbled on your video, great sounding guitar! but i was wondering what amp you were using? thanks! great review!
Awesome video, guitar & playing : ) Is this jazz you're playing ? Im not really into this stuff but I would like to start playing jazz/blues music some instrumental, would you like to recommened me something ? (sry for bad english) Thanks : )
My lord. I have this guitar. It's a jazz guitar, named after an elite jazz guitarist. It's a great instrument, but you can't demo something intended as a jazz guitar by playing a few rock riffs and some flaccid fingerpicking. The instrument was never designed for those styles of music, and your video does it no justice.
Had to remove my comment... was wondering if this is made in the same factory as the China ones... well, you answered the question in the end of the video, so forget about it. Very nice sounding guitar & nice playing!
Thanks for an excellent demo. We don't have a Hofner dealer in northern cal. If the neck is too thin for you, how thin would you describe it? Like a early 60's Les Paul? Good luck on the Benz repair..
I started using some very light strings on my Hofner that I like, Thomastik KF 110 precisions. They're flat wound (.010-.038) and don't sound thin for such a light string. I did a gig a few weeks ago with my Hofner using these strings, and you can see a YouTube clip of one tune from the gig. Type my name in the search box of the YouTube site, and look for the "Scenes-Live at Jazz Alley" clip. It's a home video, but the quality is OK.
hey man that video was verey good, nice indepth review. i have the verythin model and hofners are very nice arent they. not to mention your great guitar playing really showed off the guitar's brilliance. 5 stars and im subscribing, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO ME TOO. awesome man, very good
Just 31 degrees Centigrade and Humidity beyond all...
I also dig the Tone but I surely miss a Bridge PU and an adjustable bridge, and I just can't bring myself to drilling Holes into it. So it will be sold. : (

First: I can't play jazz, that would be no help
Second: Jazz capabilities of this thing are undisputed, JS himself is proving that
third: the construction of this guitar doesn't limit it to one Style which I proved, I guess.
Four: see the comment of Jstowell further down
Five: so you have one! Your turn! can't wait for you displaying your earthshaking skills on your channel.
I am not surprised there is nothing to see yet.
how "Flaccid" is that...

I guess the neck is super-comfy for any player.
I simply like Necks in the baseball-bat-league.
maybe close to a standard 335?
no hofner dealer in Northern Cal?
ThomasSchuber 2 years ago
Thomas,
The only dealer or distributor is in Chicago. Thank you for your response. Merry Christmas.
Steve in No. Cal.
