  • how many hands are required to play this?!

  • How can I get this software ??

  • what program is this?

  • I would learn, but im not davy jone's, i haven't a ship either

  • the msot beautiful sheet, song. this is ferenc liszt from hungary. :)

  • can't someone upload the mephisto waltz 1 in synthesia? .

  • this would be a hell of a lot easier if i had someone to play that single repeating high note for me.

    -_-

  • man , this is a masterpiece

  • 2:30 ahh my ears! I'm wearing headphones

  • where's the bass?

  • @KovyB The song mean little bell, so yeah, very few bass

  • i referred to the tone of it. it has some really heavy bass parts which make it very energetic when played on a real piano, but the tone selected in this video only works well for keys above C4 :S

  • It seems too fast and too physically impossible for a human. Unless they have 7 fingers on both hands. Even then it probably would still be impossibly hard.

  • @zackolot Find yundi li playing la campanella, you'll see

  • @LucielStarz123 I mean, I've heard it done by people. It's just, this arrangement seems too fast for people.

  • 1:50 i through that people got only 2 hands ...

  • i wish i could play this.... maybe in the future.... anyone got a time machine?

  • 1:45

Okay, I've never gotten this, and these types of chords appear often in classical and romantic music, but HOW does one play that chord with only one hand?

  • @Ap0ske You break the chord, even though the chord in the sheet music isn't arpeggiated. Synthesia follows the sheet music and plays all the notes in the chord simultaneously, which is impossible. I suppose Liszt didn't write the appegiated notation as he thought it was obvious a chord this big had to be broken.

  • The distance... :0 Of course Liszt has very big, large, wide hands so he can play/ compost something like this! 😃

  • Poor D sharp!

  • kissin is best at this ^^

  • ur latency is so little. are u using an external sound card? also what screen capture program are u usin cause the lagg is minimal. the fuzzy noise is a bit wierd. i cant get mine to work right

  • piano-hero

    level:expert

  • nossa!!

  • wow...really hard ... even pc blew it over ( at 3.36 ) xD

  • pretty amazing

  • realise that yundi lee this plays as the easiest song...

  • @3:03 if u pause it there and look at the notes it looks like evil eyes lol

  • 2:34

    FUCK THAT!

  • this was really.. two hands ?

  • @ReiReining check valentina lisitsa playing this

  • @marihuanalegal2012 Check evgeny kissin playin this.

  • @marihuanalegal2012 oh. snap. awesome.

  • @ReiReining Of course. The problem is that this composed by Liszt. Therefore, the difficulty is extreme.

Anyway, not one of his hardest works. Try Totentanz

  • Low sound quality

  • ME (0:00-0:11): Yey! Something I could play!

    ME (0:12-4:08): wtf?!

  • @kayepanes Liszt is generally pretty complicated. He was a great composer. However, if you want to see difficult, look up a fugue. Most people are probably familiar with Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. It's his most famous organ piece. But yeah, I can only aspire to be able to play anything this complex. Doubt I will ever get there. xD

  • 2:19 just sounds like you made so many slips lol

  • Hardest tap tap revenge ever

  • 1:18 to 1:32... I'm having trouble going from the the highest D sharp to the other 2 D sharps... and after that you have to spazz??? -.-

  • @G00PG00PIE I have trouble with that too. But there's a way around it. Play the bottom half of that part, then move your thumb to the d sharp you just played, but don't play it, then just play the higher d sharp, then just do that whole process reversed.

It really does take a while to do it, I thought I would never do it, but after I gave up with it, I came back and it turned out my hands were able to do it.

  • I used to be able to play this...but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • looks easy

  • One of the easiest songs ever.

  • Classical composers had a rough job. They had to make a song that was as pleasing to the ear as it was technically challenging. Classical musicians were experts in their field, having trained for years to handle things that the average musician (and youtube comment poster) would consider impossible. Nowadays, most songs are three chords that any old guy with a guitar can play on his lunch break. Whether or not that's an improvement is up for debate.

  • @ItsJustOkay So you say piano music just declined ? I think it didn't get any better, all the hardest pieces are already written except for jazz I guess.

  • @ItsJustOkay at this time there was mainly only this type of music, now-a-days we have a massive variety of music, and sure most pop music is just a repetitive chord sequence with a never changing beat. and sure most composers these days just do a revised canon impression and call it there own piece. yet your not thinking about the larger picture. there are still people who composer this style of music, still people who create amazing breath taking compositions, yet as of today's musical...

  • @ItsJustOkay ...imagery and the audience it attracts. this form of music gets pushed back to the corner of musical society and the only classical pieces you ever hear are covers of the greats and the new compositions go unnoticed - but if you have a quick look on YouTube you'll find some amazing thing... Plus saying that nowadays no amazing pieces are created you missed out the largest music writing machine. Movies. music used in films are some of the most amazing pieces wrote in a long time...

  • @ItsJustOkay ...take the movie AVATAR for example see the 'Climbing Up Iknimaya' sure nothing compared to say Beethoven's 9th, But an astonishing musical piece - and it was only created for a given scene in a given movie. the amount of creativity James Horner needed to express thought just one scene in a movie is amazing. You cant most songs now-a-days are crap. just because all your basing your knowledge on is musical charts - take an hour and go round YouTube im sure you will find...

  • @ItsJustOkay ...many modern pieces of music which show just how amazing music can be in this day and age. now music inst just an orchestra and piano creating an explosive masterpiece - its people experimenting with newer ideas trying to keep music fresh rather then just revamping the classical era. Just going back to your point on "an old guy on his lunch break" you do realize you PoV if based on chart music which is never intended to be an amazing feat of song writing...

  • @ItsJustOkay ...chart music has nothing to do with how the guitar/drums are it if to do with the singer. and music in the charts is there because the lyrics get a response from the audience. the singer expresses there emotions through there song and the audience reacts and may relate... HOLY SHIT THAT'S WHAT CLASSICAL COMPOSITIONS DO!!! see what i mean? just because rather then using an entire orchestra to convey there emotion they just use words. that doesn't mean modern music is crap

  • @TheOnlyJwh1t3 I see what you mean. As music progressed, they pared down on those elements that made classical music unattainable except to the most dedicated of practitioners and yet sacrificed nothing in regards to that visceral, human reaction that so defines music. In this case, a lack of sophistication is not necessarily an indicator of low quality. Still, that's not to say neither of these approaches are invalid. Frankly, I find that both leave just as strong an impression.

  • does this robot has got a soul ?

  • Liszt Ferenc egy nagyon tehetséges magyar volt :3

  • I can play this by heart, with my eyes closed, only using my tongue(:

  • @99CloCloBubblez99 RAMBO .. CHUCK NORRIS its just you ?

  • the high notes hurt my ears xD

  • my computer lagged, like a boss...

  • if you look closely there is a faded rectangle playing the lowest key...?

  • @goldenlevithian No, those are just numbers indicating how far the piece has progressed.

  • FIRECRACKERS IN MY EAR!

  • i can play these using my imagination

  • liszt is one insane motherfucker to have composed this off Paganini's original

  • wait...the green is for the right hand and blue for left?

  • No joke, my arm hurts.

  • There are owl at 3:04 :)

  • it took me 2 weeks to learn 0:00 - 0:42. THIS IS HARD.

  • good

  • I SURVIVED THE WHOLE SONG! :O

  • all the people who say this is hard look at UN owen was her/death waltz by john stump

  • @Deathwaltzfan2010 the difference is this song is supposed to be played by one guy on the piano. death waltz were made for computers.

  • @rockifythis no it wasn't.. watch?v=cysRztrR1G4&feature=related

  • @MegaMavric yea and he doesn't play 70% of the notes, cause it's phisically impossible, also these notes are just either chromatic scales, or the same note played in multiple octaves...

  • @Drake126 impossible? HAHAHAHAHA! search evgeny kissin. watch. wipe jizz. repeat. (without the ignorant comment) although i do agree it is a very very hard piece. i know how to play about the first minute of it. i stopped learning it..maybe i will continue :)

  • @mademan39 Man, please understand my comment. I replied to a guy who compares this to Death Waltz (not a real piano piece, it's a theme for a game put into Synthesia) and it's impossible to play all the notes of THAT, here check it. /watch?v=BW2Czu58UbQ&feature=related

I know very well that La Campanella is not impossible, I can play the whole thing rather well ;)

  • @Drake126 You do know death waltz is not the name of the song from the game, the songs name is "UN Owen Was Her?" The real Death Waltz IS a piano song but equally impossible because it was never meant to be played.

  • @yurritt Not again... Death Waltz is NOT A PLAYER-PIANO PIECE, NEVER WAS. John Stump is a made up name.

U.N. Owen was her? is a boss theme (Flandre's) from a Touhou game and several remixes were made. One of the techno remixes was put into Synthesia, changed to all piano sounds and uploaded as "Death Waltz" by "John Stump".

    /watch?v=VIop055eJhU& - U.N. Owen was her?

/watch?v=m9pdhoM9BKo& - Remix of U.N. Owen, which is named Death Waltz, when it's played with piano sounds only.

  • lol!

i learned like 1/4 of fur elise and was proud of myself...

now i want to give my keyboard away and get my 50€ back! xD

  • in 1:50 i said ok wtf

  • magic........

  • i hope someone will make a (much simplified) cover for those of us who would love to play this but do not have the guts to do so (namely me)

  • I do not like the piano sound. Its a great piece though.

  • soo beutifulll.....

    but sooo fucking hard!

  • a human can't do this!!!

  • @micahalyssaarce valentina lisitsa - la campenella

  • @micahalyssaarce

Yeah they can, I checked.. Online. Search youtube you'll find one

  • and this is considered an easier Lizst song!

  • This piece is so tedious to learn im currently playing it and it is intersting

  • es posible que un humano pueda tocar asi??

  • My hands are small how do I play this???

  • @G00PG00PIE if you hands can reach at least 1 octave that is enough. the notes are just jumping back and forth. nobody has hands that big! XD. you just have to jump very fast thats all :)

  • @G00PG00PIE Grow 6 more hands and this song will be a piece of cake.

  • Should I be proud that I can play the green only part up to 0:20? Probably not... I´ll just leave now.

  • @LoverofLiszt Actually that's pretty good if you can play it fast with one hand :D I started with that too, now I can play the whole thing ;)

  • increible

  • INSANE

  • The timing is out i don't blame synthesia

  • I can play this VERY VERY slowly and my hands are cramping by the end!

  • Score: is and forever will be: 0! :P

  • A machine can never replicant the emotion of a human playing... it never sounds nearly as good as a real person... unless of course that person is me because I would butcher the hell out of this.
