  • OMG awesome!! I want to shake your hand. :D

  • Best thing on the internet, hands down.

  • This is awesome :D

  • This is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LIES! Black peoples don't like the polyphonic spree! She is a white girl in disguise!

    No seriously great vid!

  • @Egryn wow, next time you try to compliment someone, try to make it less racially offensive.

  • @shanifawni RIght because that is what is wrong with the world. With corruption and innocent people being slaughtered and Warlords starving to death, a little racial lighthearted jesting is going to cause the downfall of mankind, even though a black man is in the white house. Racism is our biggest problem.

Girl you honestly need to get over the hurdle of racial injustices in the world and realize that people are people and jesting about racial differences only embraces diversity.

  • @Egryn What is wrong with you?

  • haha "Spreed", good term.

hehe, I'm glad it was an almost tearjerker. (that's usually the closest I ever get to crying at entertainment, i'm weird)

    thanks!

  • Listening to this in Wales on a Thursday night.

    Lovely. Well done Shani.

  • yay thanks!

I'm happy I brought some loveliness to your Wales evening.

  • One of my favorite songs EVER! Great cover!

  • hmm. I'm not sure if I replied to this comment (sometimes the replies disappear), if I already did, and you think I'm weird for replying to it twice, please excuse me.

but YEAH. it's such a good song, haha. Makes me want to hug everyone I know, and maybe some I don't.

    thanks!

  • excellent version, very nice indeed!

  • thank ya!

  • Oh man! This is how musical geniuses are made. Some young girl just deciding to sit down with her camera and play the ukulele in her bathroom. The song is already moving. However, just you doing what you do and loving it is very moving. Please, PLEASE keep singing. It's what makes people like me believe there's still beauty in this world.

  • wow, i don't know what to say to that, i will keep singing, for sure. not that I had planned on stopping, hehe. I am glad its moving, so so so glad. There could not be any better outcome. Thanks for this comment!

  • shani - you rock!!!!

haha, if my number one fan place wasn't already taken, you'd so be there!

(if this isn't Rob and my eyes served me wrong, sorry for the awkward comment.haha)

  • gahh. it is. and this video totally got 100 more views since i saw it yesterday.

  • You've got a really great voice!

  • thanks! I'm happy you think so!

  • Brilliant song and a BRILLIANT version! I am in awe!

  • why thank you! i'm glad, it is quite the song. yeah Polyphonic Spree!

  • thanks!

i don't have a lot of time to to do detailed tab, but its mostly chords. (can you figure out where they change on your own or from my vid?

    intro: C B/C C B/C

    verse1: Am C F G x3, then Am C F Fm

chorus: C Am C Am F Fm G, then intro

    verse2: Am C F G x5, then Am C F Fm

chorus, etc whatev. then end on the intro except add an extra C chord!!

how I did the intro, for the B/C chord, instead of a C chords on the 3rd fret i just went to the second. nice tension.

    hope this helps!

  • this is fabulous! do you mind posting your uke tabs so i can learn it?

  • im just friends with the delaughters..

    good job

  • ohh cool, yeah I had gotten a message from Daniel, and one from Audrey.

    awesome, I was just confused.

thank you!! glad you liked it!

  • yeah the spree has actually seen this and they think it's really cool

  • good job its gotten around to the band!!

    awesome job!

  • thank youu!

who are you? how do you know?

  • They're linking to this video on the main polyphonic spree homepage.

  • hey great job!

alright, dorky confession--i was singing along with you hahaha

  • that's awesome!!! hehehe.

    thank you!

  • You have a really nice voice and have a lot of talent. Why not try out for idol.

  • pff, I'm not sure my voice and talent is cut out for american idol, also style-wise its kinda different. but thanks so much for the compliment! Maybe I'll try out for something one day, or enter some contest, eventually.

  • wow. that was really gooood

  • thanks, glad you thought so! :)

  • just wondering.. how long did it take you to learn to play the ukelele?

    is it hard?

    easy?

I'm thinking about getting one. haha

  • DO IT. omg. they're just fun, and extremely portable, enjoyable, etc.

um I only got it sometime during the beginning of 2008. A lady up at college started a group so that's how I got started playing. I played guitar before that and uke is soo much easier to learn. So I think it depends on your musical background as far as how quick you will learn to like strum and play and stuff, but you should definitely go for it, and just believe you can do it. It's pretty simple, just have fun and work hard!

  • ohhh okay! i think im gonna go for it! haha thanks

What type of uke do you have?

  • mine's a Johnson UK - 120.

My other lil blue one is a Mahalo, but its kinda crappy. My Johnson was $33.

I'd definitely suggest getting a cheaper one until you know you really like and will use it a lot, then upgrade.

And I got mine at a store called Elderly in Lansing.

  • You have to be my favorite ukulele player, and that's saying a lot cause I know you know how awesome the other choice would be ;-)

    Love you!

  • aww Stephennn. I'm so happy, hehehe!

  • beeeeeatiful, incredible....!!!

  • hahaha thanksss!

  • Nice!

  • domo arigatou

  • This was fantastic... great voice, uke - great everything.

  • thanks! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the subscription!

  • you sure know how to choose 'em! good job!

  • thanks pal!
